Re: [4-22-09] KK's Loaded ROM v2.0Final Sprint and Others [OS 5.2.21015 Build 21015]

Okay after a few weeks of heavy usage I can report the following issues:

1. I get more lockups then with version 1.7. I average 1 every 2nd or 3rd day.

2. I notice the switch back and forth between landscape and portrait on the home screen is kind of laggy

3. If I put Core Player or Opera on the Program Launcher tab I get some strange results:
a. Core player will lose its play list on each launch and in its place will be two items:
i. –switchtopage
ii. Manila://home.page
b. For Opera my home page of Google.com will load first then switch to ‘http://--switchtopage Manila:/…’ This causes opera to throw an Invalid URL error.
In both cases the apps work fine if I launch them from the Programs folder or pin them to the start menu.

4. Two days ago while charging on the USB from the PC I noticed the phone was very warm. I pulled it off the USB cable to let it cool down. At the end of my meeting I check my phone to find it was still very warm and it had only 20% battery left. A reboot was required to clear the problem.

5. Sometimes when a event reminder pops up all I get is a black window. I have to view the reminder by accessing it from the link on the top bar.

Thinking of going back to 1.7 unless there are plans for a 2.1 version in the near future. Any idea kevan?

BTW, I'm not trying to push things. Just wanted to provide some feedback to help make a great ROM better. And as always thanks very much for all of your hard work.

Since flashing to the final, my Pro periodically just dies...screen blank and completely unresponsive. I have to warm reset to get it working again.
This didn't happen on 1.8 or any of the betas. Thinking about reflashing, but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions?

Me too... I rely on my phone to wake me up and it didn't. Woke up to find my phone totally unresponsive. Could not power it on or get any buttons to work. Soft reset was the only way to recvoer from this.
I have to say KKs roms are the best. With all his goodies, it's a totally fully loaded toy!
I reflashed and it is still locking up on me periodically. Seems like it is happening when it is on the charger. This morning I found it locked up and it had quit charging sometime during the night (assuming when it locked up). Any thoughts KK?

This rom is awesome so far. Only 2 things bothering me. 1 is probably a wm6.1 fault but it suffers the same fast scrolling. The other one is it doesn't play well with GSplayer. I use GSplayer 2.8 and every time I stream and turn off the display either through the menu or using the power button, the sounds becomes choppy like the processing slows down. This is using with or without headset.

Re: [4-22-09] KK's Loaded ROM v2.0Final Sprint and Others [OS 5.2.21015 Build 21015]

Yes this rom has some issues with some of the core functionality. The battery life seems worse than 1.8. The texting has lag and misc issues. I'm not sure if its the rom or just the camera, but the time to focus/snap picture seems much slower in this rom. I am having issues with the music tab too. lag/problem playing music. It could be because I installed s2p though.

The stability was poor. phone suddenly shutting off etc till I disabled the cpu underclocking stuff and so far its been stable.

Re: [4-22-09] KK's Loaded ROM v2.0Final Sprint and Others [OS 5.2.21015 Build 21015]

Stability is weird, even among versions. I just updated from beta2 to v2final today, and i had some super-fast battery draining until i soft-reset about 5 or 6 times (went from 95% to 60% in about an hour, then on that last reset, battery life stabilized to about 3-4% an hour). Using mini-s2u, phone crashed while trying to come out of standby while skyfire was running.

I'll run this for a few more days... see what happens. Apart from a few small bugs, beta2 was running pretty decently.

Re: [4-22-09] KK's Loaded ROM v2.0Final Sprint and Others [OS 5.2.21015 Build 21015]

More mystery about battery life, and another problem...

Yesterday, after an overnight charge, I only used up 20% of my battery all day long (about 10 hours off the charger). This was confirmed by looking at the main voltage with the battery monitor app. Today, my phone has drained 60% in 3 hours. Usage has not changed at all: a few texts, a call or two, about 5 minutes in Opera, and bluetooth on only while i'm driving (about 2 hours a day). What the heckkkkkkkkkkkk.

New problem: Bluetooth does not stay activated. It will turn off and on sporadically for about 1 second at a time. My car has built-in bluetooth, and this lapse in communication causes my whole contact list to resync in the car (BMW 335i iDrive) which takes from 15 seconds to 1 minute. This happens even during calls.

None of these problems existed in Beta2...
