this rom is very nice besides a few things


T9: please remove it! this is such an annoying feature. it slow me down so much while typing messages and force me into words that i dont wanna type. if there is a way to desactivate this please let me know.

small icons on the start menus: bigger icons on 3 rows instead of 4 are sooo much cooler. i found a cab to revert it to 3 collums but it doesnt seem to work on landscape.

have some bugs with opera.

HTC Calc not working in 2.0 Titanium, even fix did not work, had to reinstall HTC Calc from cab file

Windows Media works if you apply fix

No issues yet with 6.5 Lock

It would be great if you can include the Windows Mobile 6.5 Widgets (MSN Weather, Money, and Stock) in your updated Titanium rom

See post 1281 for the T9 "issue." This is a simple change and should not be dealt with in the cooking IMO. And PIM Backup is included with 2.0T in the "Tools" folder.

When you are typing with the physical keyboard, hit the FN key, then the space bar. It brings up a menu screen where you can put the keyboard into abc mode and presto!! no more word completion. I think this was already mentioned somewhere in this thread already. Hope this helps. :)

I'm using 2.0T, and so far, so almost awesome. I especially like your "Star" customization. I have a couple issues though, one being the calculator which has been mentioned and no biggie because it can be installed. So I guess, just one issue - Bluetooth icons. When I have my bluetooth connected, I see no icon depicting that in the taskbar, so no way to know if my bluetooth is actually connected until I make a call. Is it just me? Anyone else having this issue? Of course I know when I connect my bluetooth, but sometimes it'll disconnect for some reason, and I won't know by looking at my phone because there are no indicators. I would install a custom taskbar, but I like yours.

Doing this in the TF version doesn't work. It auto reloads FingerKeyboard and T9. Would like a way to just remove both if possible, its annoying that I can't even type my own name...

Wierd that you are having this problem,did you hard reset after your flash. Mine is off automatically after booting.

I gotta say, though I'm new to this whole flashing thing, I've spent the last 3 days obcessing over different roms, which ones FEEL best, which ones LOOK the best.

I've tried Energy 3.0, Juicy 7, Longhorn, SAC Warrior, Silence (all 6.5, all 21725) and Silence and Psyki's 6.1 ROMs.

StarROM was actually the first of the bunch I tried, and it's the one I've come back to now. it FEEEEEELS the best of them all, even though it's an older build. 2.0t is what I'm using, Titanium.... well, I'm in love with Titanium!

StarROM 2.0t, in MOST places in the ROM looks the best to me as well. there are 2 features on the titanium screen that I wish that it had though. After using Longhorn, I really would love to have the two features I've highlighted in the attatched photo to be available on this ROM and it'd be perfect!(maybe there's a way I can do it myself without cooking anything?? I dunno how yet though)

Yup. Just bout every rom I've seen FingerKeyboard cooked into, I've had that issue. You change it to Full Qwerty or anything else, hit OK, then come back, and its right back on FK. T9 at least stayed off now, so I can type without it being a *****. But FK now pops up every time I get to type and annoys me. :D

Do you have SIP changer installed? is so check to see what KB is listed, if not maybe installing it and then picking the KB you want will keep FK from coming up

Star wondering if you will be using 21725 build for your upcoming releases? Been playing around with it and it seems to work good.

Also been playing with Energy's new release and the apps from the new Topaz device, didn't know if you could incorporate some of these goodies.

i have to say, this is a truly great rom. the only suggestions i would have is to fix the sorting options in file explorer and also add back in the normal, plain stock keyboard. i think it was a mistake to keep it out. it's very useful in many appications. i've been looking all over the place for a cab to install it in and i just can't find one.

So far this rom rocks! Love the title and footer bars. Miss the All Programs tab in TF3D that auto populated and sorted as new programs were added but not a big deal. This rom is MUCH faster then my previous one.

One concern, i've deleted all Data Connection profiles that allow the phone to dial #777 however it keeps doing it. If i open Google Maps or do a Send/Receive it starts a connection. How is it doing this and how do i stop it?

wow i put this rom on a few hours ago & so far i'm am really impressed with the look & feel of the interface. very nice work there. the commgr fix worked like a charm & i've been customizing it ever since. as previous user mentioned the bottom & top bars look great! that was a nice surprise.

i will keep updated & stay in touch with the Star series rom, i'm excited to see what's next.

I got the weirdest reminder message after restarting and restoring my phone today. "This copy of Windows Mobile expire within 30 days on 7/01/2009. I dont understand whats going on. Please help

This is because of the icons come from the htc dialer skin which I think you probaly have disabled or not in the current Titanium version. It can be reinstalled with 1 of the dialer cabs found in this forum.

Don't think so. The only thing i added was GMobileSync and Finder-Friendly Friends contact.

I went to:
START->SETTINGS->CONNECTIONS->CONNECTIONS

ADVANCED tab and my choice of networks is
- DATA
- MY WORK NETWORK
- MY ISP

When i choose DATA and hit EDIT it shows #777 as the dialing number. I hit OK and when i return it shows MY ISP in the drop down. That's strange!

When i edit MY ISP it also shows #777 so i select MY WORK NETWORK.

If i hit OK all the way back to home and then open Google Maps or try and sync my email it should tell me NO NETWORK CONNECTION AVAILABLE but it doesn't... it connects!

What did i miss?

I also just when into MY ISP and deleted #777. Now as far as i can tell there are no dialling rules setup. Into Google Maps and presto! It loads! HOW!?!

I have used your ROMS since 1.3. Each one has gotton progressively better with 2.0 being the best so far. I used SsS Rom 3.0 wich was extermely quick and all, but after about a day, the device would hard-reset itself and I would have to start over again (Sprite Backup was a real life saver). Longhorn's Rom was also good but had this horrible memory leak that resulted in having to soft-reset after a few hours. CleanRAM or Memmaid was not able to correct that issue. I loved your roms except for tf3d2 landscape mimicked portrait mode thus putting display in a single row instead of 2 rows which put call history and calendar to the right of the clock instead of under it. Now that you have changed that, your rom to me anyway is now the most stable, and quickest out there. Will keep using until your next release.

i installed the theme but it didn't solve my problem. i hard reset and it's fixed.

anyway. i don't have any graphic on my internet screen. the "world" is not there. do you have any idea why?

Thanks. That was helpful. I was using starrom1.7m at the time. Glad it did happen because it made me upgrade to 2.0 which runs way better.

Can't help there I am afraid. I use Iris and go through Quick Menu to get my favourites. I have hidden the internet tab.
