Juicy 7 (52509 release) video playback works just fine (he has the same version you do in his rom. now has released a kitchen (maybe you can use the album OEM he is using...saves you some time in figuring out the problem...and thanking him properly of course)...hope it helps....

hey star man love the new rom (1.7) i came from 1.4 the only issue im having is the internet connect button is greyed out to use phone as a modem ..

Just flashed the new rom and so far, I'm really liking it! Any chance of adding Worldcard back? I use it all the time and really miss it. Or if anybody has the cab for it, could you please post it or a link for it. I have tried a few posted on the forums, but none seem to work. Once again, Great work and THANK YOU!!!

One of the bugs I found in 1.7t is when go to save a new number (someone calls, text, or you call, text a number not in your contacts) you get the screen with 3 options "call" "save" or "send SMS" the only option that works is "send SMS". just curious if this is working in 2.0t

Great ROM, Starmans. I'm using 2.0t. How do I enable the weather to show an abbreviated forecast when it is not selected? I don't want it just to say "weather"; I want it to say, for example, "78o Partly Sunny". How to I enable that?

Also, no 6.5 slide-lock screen? :(:(

Anyone help me get back the stock theme plugins? I installed a couple of theme cab files and now I'm back to the stock rom theme w/ missing plugins?

Negative, I had to install TitaniumWather v4.2 to get this feature. It isn't enabled by default in this ROM.

ive been runni it for two days. it is by far the most stable rom ive had. the phat finger weather and the detatcher work smoothly wothout lagging the phone. The only thing left is sprint tv. Has anybody figured a fix for the sprint tv. I have the latest cab, and the culikans fix. still a no go. ANybody?

Haven t look at this ROM but in 1.7t you go START>SETTING>LOCK>DISPLAY>change it to WINDOWS DEFAULT.

Very nice rom.. no major issues except for bluetooth file transfers from Mac/PC to phone. Previous 6.5 StarROM (1.7t) worked... Some of the 'other' 6.5 roms I've tried has this problem as well. I'm searching for BT obex files to possibly fix this problem. THe BT pairing is solid as is the overall build of this rom. Thanks for all the hard work!

Can anyone help me out? I have no data connection. I upgraded to 2.0 tf3d2 and i couldn't get a data connection, so I tried setting one up by creating a modem connection called "Sprint" and have it dial #777, that didn't work either. I hard reset, installed the topaz-comm manager cab from the first post and then tried creating a modem connection...that didn't work either. Any help?

Mine uses #777 for alltel not sure what carrier you are using. Under the connections networks I chose my ISP under modem. Also under connectins the settings for phone as modem select a modem set to Cellular Line.

Sound like your phone needs to be reprovisioned. I think for sprint its *228 then send. then follow the instructions. Unless it the same a Telus *22803.

Friend had something like this happen, he had to update the profile on his phone, and then it started working.

I read that S2A is installed in this rom, but when my phone rings it comes up in a Text Msg Notification type window?? Dialer skin is not disabled!!

Second post of this thread. Install this cab file and than go to start setting system and hit update profile and it will update your data and you should be all good. This worked for me as before i just flashed back to as stock rom but thats a pain in the arse!

we've been discussing this rom over at smartphonejunkie.com and we have a few things to post, i dont know if any of them have been posted already and we've found fixes for a few of them, just wanted to put them out there for starmans to know they exist. If you want me to post the fix we found i can do that later...

1. HTC Calculator link on the start menu doesnt work ( found a fix )
2. Windows Media Player link on start menu doesnt work ( found a fix )
3. If Opera 9.5 Beta is closed using the x button in the upper right instead of using Menu > exit > ok the widgets menu comes up and you cant reopen Opera without either a soft reset or using a dask manager to end the opera9.exe process.
4. The default lock option is not 6.5 default; it is the old device lock from 6.1 ( found the fix.. this may have been outlined somewhere and I overlooked it )

That being said, I am sticking with this rom because i really think it is the best out there right now for stability, battery life and speed. It really works great and I applaud starmans for his great work.

ok here it goes...

1. htcCalculator was already installed, the issue was only that the link on the start menu was not connected to the actual program. So you just go to Device/Windows and scroll until you see htcCalculator in there. After that hold down on it and copy. Navigate to Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and delete the HTC Calculator shortcut that is already there. Then just paste shortcut and if you want you can rename the shortcut to HTC Calculator instead of htcCalculator.

2. The same procedure as 1 except the file you are looking for in Device/Windows is wmplayer and you can delete Windows Media shortcut from Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and then paste this one and rename it to Windows Media.

3. The only fix for this is using the Menu > Exit > ok instead of the x there isnt a fix that i have found other than that.

4. If you go to Start > Settings > Lock > Display Tab > change to windows default instead of windows classic and it will be the 6.5 lock press ok and you'll be all set.

Hope this helps anyone with issues.

How do you assign any picture to be the today desktop background? I am using starrom 2.0 and on the prior version if you went to file explorer and held your funger you could set the picture as the today background but for some reason on this rom that option is missing. Is there something that i am doing incorrectly? any help would be appreciated.

i think you must be missing it, if you are running titanium version it should still be an option "Set as Today Background" i just tested to make sure and it works fine.

In tf3d2, you go to the settings from the main slide menu and click on the wallpaper setting. you can then pick any picture for the background for all your screens. Hope this helped, if so, please click on thanks.:)

What's the registry edit to disable the HTC keyboard autocomplete for text messages/emails? When I'm using the physical keyboard, autocomplete is screwing up what I type. I'd love to get rid of it altogether.

Hello i am using the Starrom 2.0 tf3d2 rom and this rom is wicked nice but the only thing that i cannot figure out is how to change the today screen background while using titanium not TouchFlo. I can change the wallpaper no problem with TouchFlo but when i have it set too titanium and go to my pictures there is no option to set as today background, Now my friend is running the starrom titanium and when he goes in file explorer to select the picture to put as the today background it is there. Can anyone help??

just load up the default keyboard instead of the touch keyboard and flip the abc/tp switch to the abc side, switch back to the touch keyboard if you want but when you go back to the hardware keyboard it wont do autocomplete anymore. Thats how i fixed it

1. Since 2.0 the htc calculator has been working.

2. Windows Media Player link and Album video play has been fixed and will be working in 2.1.

3. There is know fix for this it is a problem with the beta, but I still like it better.

4. Using the titanium lock screen messes with the HTC Dialer and if the phone is locked when you receive a call, I have found that most of the time calls are missed. So I chose to disable it purposly.

yeah for the htc calc i have 2.0 and it wasnt working, mayb i had the orignal 2.0 and it wasnt fixed or something, just posted in case anyone had those issues. I know a lot of people on the 2.0 rom and they used the 3 "fixes" i outlined. The 6.5 dialer and calls have yet to glitch out for me with the 6.5 lock, guess im just lucky. like i said we have been discussing your rom over at SPJ and we all love it; looking forward to 2.1. good looks.

Hello all, I'm kinda new to this whole flashing thing. I've tried a couple of 6.1 ROMs, and star rom here is my first 6.5 ROM.

I'm loving Titanium, and just the general smoothness of this ROM is fantastic.

I do have a question though, I'm on Telus, and in a good area, and it's constantly in an EvDo signal, but when I place a call, or recieve a call, it changes into 1X. I don't recall this ever happening before, maybe it was hidden and now this rom just shows it?

Is this supposed to happen? does this save battery somehow?

You probably just didn't notice it. All CDMA phones switch to 1x during phone call. Nothing to be worried about. It has nothing to do with the ROM.
