Re: ....RSTG Custom Rom -=- Rhodium_v1C v2.R.02 FuzeBerry II 3/28/09

First of all, great ROM. Everything seems to be working pretty well in general, but I have 2-3 questions.

1-When I try to open Diamond TF3D I get an error message: An unexpected error has occured in Diamond TF3D Config.exe.Select Quit and then restart this program, or (...). It never works...

2-At one point, I had the weather inside the calendar tab in manila. That was sick. I loved the feature. Out of no where it vanished without me changing anything! When I was on the calendar tab and would open up any of the following 5 days I had the weather under the button to add an appointment, but not any more.

I tried a hard reset, reflashing the rom, ... but still nothing! Any clue???

Oh and BTW, if ever you guys have trouble getting a GPS lock with this ROM, simply deactivate Assisted GPS from advanced config and it will work.

this is scary:
Yesterday i installed version 2 of this rom and loved it - especially how contacts are now put all in same place with calls/emails/texts. Today i woke up looked at my phone and ran to the meeting - when i got there i found out that the meeting is not for another hour. But my trusty phone says 7am, then i looked at later appointment i knew i had at noon and there it is now showing at 11am. I have over 600 appointments did all of them move? some of them? some moved one hour before some one hour after. I must admit this scared me, i have a backup but only from yesterday before i installed this rom, and since then i made/changed at least 20 apps. Is there a solution to this or am i pretty much screwed? if i am screwed i am smashing my tpro on the pavement and going after palms from now on

:violent2:I run RSTG's Rhodium rom and have no problems with any of the features. On your error code using Diamond TF3D Config Setup all you need to do is open up Diamond TF3D Config file-there are 2 files there-delete the file that is title "O" Tweaks. that will solve that problem for you. It is a part in there that doesn't work on the Touch Pro seeing as this was developed for the Diamond.

Did you let all the customization run through during the first load? If not, you need to hard reset and let it run.

Is the phones clock off by 1 hour or do all the appointments have the wrong time in them? I had an issue with the today clock and the clocks and alarm settings in the system tab fighting and changing my time by 1 hour at random times.

I tried that and it will not delete the file, is there a trick to it? Also what OS build is this ROM using, mine is showing old.

Well the Touch Flow 3D it's designed for the Fuze(Touch Pro, AKA Rafael), and the Icons that are designed by Mobile Matt give's you the look of the Blackberry Icons(like the new Storm), just to make all the Blackberry fan's happy, you got the Best of both Worlds!=D>

It's showing old, because I have not been able to find any difference between the old and new. Other than the phsycological endorphines it releases when one thinks a higher version number is better, or that newer SYS is faster.

My roms are almost always built off of the stock carrier release. I find it more fulfilling to fix the carrier issues and load it up than to take a blank SYS and add a couple things to it.

I follow your thinking! No complaints here, I have used a lot of ROMs and yours fits well for my needs. Thanks for explaining! Do you have any ideas on the 'tweaks.xml' that I mentioned in the first part of my msg? Thanks again for the great work!

1-TF3D is not designed for rhodium and has been taken out in the newpost-this build. Once we get the update this weekend I'll see about updating this as well.

2-Only shows when the world clock settings are set to a non-home area. I think that is what I did, disabled timesync with network. THen go to world clock settings, set the second time to "Wichita", and deleted the first one with the timezone.

tweaks.xml works fine. The TF3D config program doesn't work for rhodium as far as I know. Rhodium is TF3D2... The only reason it didn't work for the diamond tf3d is because the program craps out if there is a tweak that doesn't already exist in the registry...

Was wondering if you could help me...I posted a bug I was experiencing earlier with no response. I just tried your rom again and it's the only one that will not let me connect ics. I get error 67, username/pw error. If I flash to any other rom, (I'm currently using Silence 9), then ics works fine. I really like the way your rom looks, the packages included, but no ics is a deal breaker. Any ideas?

Install the .cab in \windows to enable the update profile, I don't recall the name of it. This information shouldn't change from rom to rom, that's why the cab is included but not baked in.

I'm having a strange issue. My clock goes back one hour. I have tried different combinations of disabling or enabling daylight savings from advanvced config with no luck. It doesn't seem to matter if I change the time from the home tab or from clocks and alarms. The time stays the same until the device is reset and then it says it's one hour earlier. Please help.

Welcome to TF3D2 - a.k.a. - Rhodium...

There is currently no fix, but a duct-tape work around is located [APP] XBmod Manila Rhodium VGA Port (BETA 1) + FIX V1c, second or third post...

One thing i am missing the scroll wheel(whetever its called the ring around round button)) does not work for contacts, i used to be able to look through them ipod-style - not with this rom, is there something to enable here?

I think I rememer this as a "rhodium undocumented feature". This is a good rom to play with, but not a good version if you need appointments, and other pda type features. I mean, cool rom, but the being beta and with the issues, I wouldn't run it daily. I'm at the mercy of the quality of stuff here from xbmod and crew...

to fix the time bring off you have to change your timezone to 1 hour later. Example: if your in central time pick a city in eastern time.

Quick question: is it me or is this ROM more battery hungry than the stock Sprint one (with optimizations)? it feels like battery runs down quicker now... no big deal, but sorta surprising, since I see the battery tweaks have been applied.

There is a generic theme it came with. You can ask in the original thread over @ xda [APP] XBmod Manila Rhodium VGA Port (BETA 1) + FIX V1c
or just install the Rhodium 1D over this to zap the fuzeberry away...

I suppose I could do that... I'll upload it this evening, all you'll have to do is drop it into calcu's kitchen. Please have it bugfree by May 1st, my sprint 2 year upgrade date... :) And of course you should be able to decompile it with calcu's kitchen with no problems.

Thanks for the updates! (and for pointing out the fix for the contacts/email issues).

Does anyone have an idea of why the battery is going down so fast? it seems to be going even faster now :)

I do wonder if it's just the OS having to relearn the battery parameters and thus it will stabilize soon...

You are the man. Thank you so much.......

Your ROM is awesome.. Best I've run yet. I disabled world clock for now, other than that, it's perfect. Thanked!

Any way of getting Canada cities for weather and clock? It was in you previous ROM... Also, I was wondering how to remove or change the startup sound?

Thanks, your ROMs are real nice!

To change the startup sound, use total commander and overwrite \windows\PhoneOn.wav
