Wow... WM 6.1 booted and its going through the customization. From what I remember, the stock Sprint did the same thing but in yellowish gold color scheme. This is one is a bit different. The color theme is light blue. I guess this means that KK 1.8 update is taking place. Is it safe to assume that my phone isn't bricked?

to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 0.35.CMONEX or 0.37.CMONEX (or 0.25.CMONEX MFG).

I will 2nd that. I use 0.37.cmonex.

Yup! Thank you for your concern and help.

I've looked around at some custom rom threads as well as the ppcgeeks custom rom comparison chart.

I came to conclusion that I like the stock rom but with improved speed and responsiveness. I've never installed something like KK's Rom which is a very much a loaded rom. I'm happy to give it a go. We'll see how this works out.
