as far as the font color, i know UItweaker can change the system font. i messed with it one day and was able to to it, if you give me a little time i can find a cab, or if you do a google for it, im sure you can find it.

i have a pic of my gf as the background, and its pretty light, what i did, as i keep flashing roms, was to darken the pic a little bit and it seemed to work. dont know how good you are with photo editing.

you said you are using mightys rom. are you using the manilla 2 version? if so, i dont beleive there are any themes that will work with it yet, somebody might correct me if im wrong.

by the way, welcome to the site. as somebody said, jump in, the best way to figure stuff out is trial and error (except for flashing, follow the directions on that). but enjoy and pretty soon you will be as addicted as most everybody here is....
there are already a good number of themes for manila 2 check xda they have a lot
i posted a couple too if you want to check

Re: First post. Just a couple questions..

I am NOT using the manilla 2 version. I do really like having the calendar tab, and the other little changes in there as far as the interface but themes don't work and just as important mun's background fix doesn't work and neither does the weather database update. So i'm sticking with the regular manilla version for now.

Darkening the picture is a great idea. I didn't even consider that, and photo editing used to be a hobby for me! Now I waste all my time on this phone and school work ha. Oh ya and my wife... she demands attention quite a bit.

Thanks for the help, and I guess us lefty's will just have to suffer this right-handed world. At least there's no danger using a right handed phone. that chainsaw on the hand...
