Tethering: Sprint Not A Choice In Network Connection In ISC

I've searched high and low on here and XDA to no avail. I can't find any thread that mentions not having Sprint in the Network Connections menu in ISC. The only thing I have when I click on the menu is CDMA1x. Isn't that the default network when 3g or whatever isn't available? I've done the registry hacks and installed ICS cab and still no other choice. Any help is really appreciated with this problem.

Load a custom rom and all you have to do is plug the phone in and you are off!

I recommend Mighty ROM 4.14 to get started.

Before I had a custom rom I did the reg edit to get this to work and it was just fine. I don't think it actually ever says, "Sprint" in the drop down. I think it said #777 or something like that but going to a ROM is much easier PLUS you get the benefits of a way better ROM.

Re: Tethering: Sprint Not A Choice In Network Connection In ISC

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm currently using Silence's Speed ROM 3. I just tried connecting using the CDMA1X and Bluetooth and it seemed to work but then when I tried shutting down my cable modem, I couldn't open any webpages using just the phone as a modem. Is this something on my desktop's side? I also have PAM as an option but when I try connecting using that, I get the notification bubble saying "The remote party has ended this connection." I don't use tethering in general but it'd be a nice option to have. Thanks again for the help.

I've never used a silence rom--currently on Mightyrom 4.14, but most custom roms have either "sprint" or "data" as a dropdown option in ics. I've never seen the cdma1x option. Did you install any apps that would have changed the registry settings since flashing?

Re: Tethering: Sprint Not A Choice In Network Connection In ISC

I'm kind of in the "test all the cool stuff at once" phase so I'm not really sure of all the hacks I've installed. I'm currently trying to cook my own ROM so after I've done that, I'll try the hack again and see what I get. Thanks for the replies and hopefully I'll update in a day or so with the results.

did you apply any of the hacks? here's the tethering cab I've tried. It might work for you. Unzip and install the cab. Good luck.

Re: Tethering: Sprint Not A Choice In Network Connection In ISC

i tried that cab on his 4.14 and it still did not give me a option it only had the two options pam and data anyone else with any ideas i hope mighty reads this would like to get his input or someone that already knows how to work around it using his rom. and also i like to note i did read up on how to hack WMWifiRouter by changing the registry keys or deleting the ones that needed to be deleted but in his rom it seems like they are already deleted or changed but i still do not get the option on isc with sprint only the other two option which is pam and data.
