Re: Decompile |||Bored||| Gps Hack
All you have to do is ask him. I'm sure Bored will tell you what he did.

What roaming issue? My fix has nothing to do with sprint nor should it be used for sprint devices. As far as what I did. You have everything already in your file comparison. It shows exactly the difference between my PRI and VZW's. The method in which I did it was an ol' school brute force attack so to speak. Last edited by lllboredlll; 03-18-2009 at 12:50 AM. |

Re: Decompile |||Bored||| Gps Hack
I have been going through the different files with woodson. We are finding out that not all of the files in your cab file are required. I would love to speak to you on irc to see what you have already tested.
We have found out that if you run the ppst.exe update with the default.ppst update you modified. It fixes the gps. I also found out durring one bench test that it also breaks the speaker and microphone. If you run the stock ppst update you provided and not run ppst.exe it repairs all functionality of the device. I am not sure if its nessary to include any of the formating of the sprint update as far as the dat files are concirned. |

Re: Decompile |||Bored||| Gps Hack
During my trials the default.ppst wont unlock the gps alone. Not all three of the dat files are required but I wasnt gonna make a v3 for the simple fact of reducing a few kb of space.

Re: Decompile |||Bored||| Gps Hack
I would agree about a not making a v3 to just save some space. I would like to have a v3 that sets everything up and then automatically runs ppst.exe. Simplifying everything. I am going to keep exploring to see if there is any easier way to do this repair. Then it might be worth talking about a v3.
