Will this process work with the TMobile Touch Pro 2 ? I can't connect to WMDC at all although I have no problem accessing the MicroSD Card. This process would be a great help.. Thanks

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

okay guys, major issue.

trying to take phone back to stock for warranty...

performing the relocking steps that the OP mentioned....download the SSPL....double cliked it, nothing.....so I unzip the relocker to the SD root..and did a power-vol-soft reset.... it asked me to press power to confirm...i did that...it did something..now its stuck at white screen loading...

dont know how to fix this.... when i restart, it says rom update error or something..

the rainbow screen reads:

RAPH800
SPL-0.37.0000
MicroP-Hermann (LED) v0C85
MicroP-Hermann (KEY) v0685
PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20

Upgrade ROM code error
Please try again

I think this tells me that the phone is locked. I had installed a shipped ROM when it was installed as the OP said. As soon as the relocker was ran...i got this ROM code error. I think I need to flash signed sprint stock nbh...where do I get that?

**** UPDATE, FIGURE IT OUT****

So I downloaded the latest update from htc's website...opened the exe with winrar or winzip...took the nbh file and renamed it to RAPHIMG.nbh... and move it to root SD...and walaa...it started working....phone wanted an official rom...so thats all it was...

any ideas?

this thread is for unlocking, flashing , and relocking from sd card. your problem has nothin to do with being unlocked. cornelious didn't have data because he was out of the country.

It takes some time, but it completes, and i get the success message, but when i try to enter my msl code, it wont accept it cuz its still unlocked, therefore not giving it a reason to need the code.

msl code has nothing to do with being hardspl locked or unlocked. perhaps you should explain what you're trying to do so that i can tell you what you're doing wrong.

Im trying to get into my ESPT or ESBT (IDR what it is, but its the ##DATA# code, so i can edit those) so I can absolutely swipe it back to factory settings, where it erases everything, including the life of the phone and everything, but since its unlocked, i cant get into those settings no matter whatg.

being hardspl locked or unlocked makes no change in the epst or your msl code. so you still haven't explained what the problem is exactly. is it telling you that you've entered the wrong unlock code when you enter in your 6 digit msl code?

cornelious2 06-26-2010 10:03 PM

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

very bottom of the first post covers relocking.

EPST has NOTHING to do with locked or unlocked. after flashing stock again thats all you need to do, if your trying to clear out the lifetime statistics, your getting into things akin to rolling back the odometer on a car and I won't help there.

hockey593 06-26-2010 10:33 PM

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

I know it doesnt, but when its unlocked, the msl code serves no purpose, because thats what the lock code is, so therefore it being unlocked, i cant enter an msl code in to get to myespt settings, because from there i can wipe everything. my problem is, is that it wont re-lock

dude...are you reading what we're saying? lol. the 2 have nothing to do with eachother. wether you're hardspl locked or unlocked, you still have to enter your msl code to enter epst. if you answer the questions asked above, we can help you.

cornelious2 06-26-2010 10:53 PM

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

unlocking does NOTHING to the EPST your msl stays the same unless you changed it using something like cdma workshop. I go into my epst all of the time with unlocked phones. you just probably have the wrong msl written down or somehow you managed to change it.

would like to thank OP and all the helpful folks on this thread and site. After 2 days(ugh), finally flashed to mightyrom via bluetooth transfers to Touch Pro since Active Synch is dead.

A suggested addition to instructions: Clearly indicate that even if MICROSD card says it is fat 32, it may not be properly formatted to do a flash off storage card.

Very happy result! Thanks much again. Now on to a Touch Pro2!!

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

I need some help!! I'm trying to flash a rom from SD card, but here's my situation: I flashed mightyrom using activsync, and was doing some other customization and I went to do a mod to show battery strength in 1% increments, but I somehow downloaded and installed a battery.dll file that was not for Touch Pro. What happened is it causes my battery to always show 1%, and the phone shuts off as soon as it tries to boot up. Therefore, I have no way to store any files in the memory of the phone.

So I've tried storing the RAHPHIMG.nbh file on my sdcard and going to bootlegger. I think my phone is HSPL unlocked - red green blue screen shows SPL-0.37.CMONEX. But since I don't have the option to put a file in my main memory, is there any way to flash a rom or SSPL unlock the device? Or connect to the devices memory without it being booted up? Did I brick my phone?

cornelious2 08-01-2010 05:00 PM

You don't need the sspl flash a Rom if your unlocked. Just place the nbh on the root of your SD card and enter bootloader using voldown+power method.

Edit: on second thought just hard reset I believe its voldown+circle+power while turning on.

yea...you're right cornelious. with phone off, just hold vol down, circle and power button.

I didn't know you got the Evo man. How you like it. It's great, isn't it? ha. i want to get android so bad lately. I'll probably get the droidX.

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

Thanks guys, but when I do the hard unlock (Vol down, center button, pwr on) it just boots up normally. I thought that might be because it thinks the battery is too low for a rom flash, but that doesn't make sense to me cause without booting up, would it even be looking at battery life? Anyways, it just goes into normal startup. Also, putting ive put two different .nhb on my sd card and it just sits at the bootloader screen, wont give any options. Ive tried formatting the sd card a couple times, Fat 32. Anyone know if file allocation size matters when formatting? Any other ideas?

with phone off, you have to hold the vol down and hold the circle, and then hold the power button. in that order. dont let go of them till reset screen comes up. only takes like 3 seconds to come up.

make sure you're naming it properly. it's RAPHIMG.nbh
if you have file extensions hidden, then just name it RAPHIMG

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

OMG, after 2 days of screwing with this my phone is back to life!! Turned out the microSD card I was formatting wasn't being read for some reason. I had tried to use the microSD card that was in the phone, but none of my card readers would recognize it so I couldnt get the RAPHIMG.nbf file onto it. But I finally tried putting it into one of my cameras, hooked the camera up to the computer, and VOILA it saw the card so I was able to get the RAPHIMG.nbf file onto it and finally got it to give me the option to load it from the bootloader screen. You guys were right, phone only needs to be unlocked. I was ready to throw this thing away cause I couldn't do anything with it! Thanks guys, I'm one happy camper!

Razorloves - I'll be honest, I didnt realize there was an order to the middle button/volume. Only that you had to hold them before the power button. I could have been doing them in the wrong order for the 30 times I tried a hard reset! LOL. That might have worked as well. Oh well, problem solved!

flash the stock signed sprint rom here

Then you will need to start over and unlock your phone and flash a new custom rom by following the steps in my first post.

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

been using this site for months (as one of the non contributing nubs, and hate that this is my first post)
With the SSPL-Manual in the system memory (and not in a folder)
With the RAPHIMG.nbh in the storage card (card frshly reformated in FAT32, the .nbh is the only thing on it)
All I should have to do is run SSPL-Manual via the file explorer to begin the process, correct?
When I click on SSPL-Maual I get the rotating blue gree red and yellow circles in the center as if the phone is working, then it appears to freeze.
Now I understand that this phone is horrendously slow as I have had it for about 8 months and using the stock ROM I have spent well over 3 minutes pulling up a text log or 10 minutes waiting for the 5 texts in a row to actually appear.
How long should I be waiting for something to happen or after ten minutes should I assume that my phone is frozen?
P.S. the circles stop rotating after about 2 seconds.

Thanks in advance for anything.

cornelious2 10-06-2010 05:34 PM

It should be pretty much instant. Put the exe on your SD card and do a hard reset to wipe the phone and try again.

try a different SD card, sometimes people just get delt a crappy one which the bootloader cannot see properly.
