Re: *****~{5/5/09}~ lllboredlll's CE OS 5.2.21501 (Build 21502.5.0.3.B) KITCHEN~*****

In a nutshell, 1) sync your phone (thats essential). 2) run the kitchen, choose what you want in the rom and click the "play" button up top. 3) when it says DONE at the bottom, close the window 4) select the page file size you want (I would leave it alone for now, click CLOSE) 5) follow the instructions to flash your phone on the screen. Its pretty simple but remember, the search feature and stickys up top are your friends. Chances all the answers to your questions will be there. Check How To Flash Your Touch Pro and Please read this first (very important) that should get you started. |

Yes, the kitchen is used to "cook" your own custom rom.

Okay - I forgot who mentioned it a few pages back but it solved my problem. I was able to copy the Office files into the SYS folder and cooked/flashed and it's all good!!
Having some interesting readouts on the battery that I will need to monitor very closely - looks like it is either 0% or 100% all the time. Even in NuePower,... I'll have to see what that's all about tomorrow (but heck - there'll probably be a whole new Kitchen by then thanks Bored - sure do appreciate you putting this together!! |

the new kitchen will have a different battery monitor program in it
nuepowercpl seems to have a few issues as far as consistency goes |

Re: *****~{5/5/09}~ lllboredlll's CE OS 5.2.21501 (Build 21502.5.0.3.B) KITCHEN~*****
sometimes it gives you a true output reading then other times it takes a few seconds to register correctly then others not at all.... if it says 57 it's lying.... it's also hung up either my entire device or the softkeys on more than one occasion..... never one a 6.1 rom just on 6.5 so i'm looking into a different solution for 6.5.... there is a program called battery monitor but it's too generic for my tastes so the search continues
i know i keep telling you guys the new kitchen is almost done.... lol.... i will get it done shortly ..... i just keep changing things up to see what yeilds the best results.... i'd love to give you guys a kitchen with 0 bugs... that's my expectation but sometimes not reality unfortunately |

I LOVE this ROM (kinda jonesing for 21222 though),... are you sure this isn't an addiction? I put WM 7 Project on mine and LOVE IT even more; resolved my battery errors - they were pretty scary targetted to a single .dll that I put in the kitchen and mucked things up. So it wasn't Bored's config - it was mine - just to be clear. Those Omnia drivers are much better than the CDMA ATI,... it seems to work better with touch sensitivity in the phone application and the scrolling. Keep it up man - looking forward to the next release! |

Re: *****~{5/5/09}~ lllboredlll's CE OS 5.2.21501 (Build 21502.5.0.3.B) KITCHEN~*****
one annoying thing that I can't figure out - but have heard it's fixed in the 21222 is around the WM 6.5 native s2u and s2a,... when I'm unlocking, i have to do it TWICE. I'm using smartlock so as to have a timeout. I've used cvrsdrv or whatever it's called too both seem to have the same issue.
I did find (over on xda-developers) that the "unknown caller" has a workaround. If you press the power button twice (once off and once one) you can see who is calling prior to sliding to answer or ignore. Now if i could just git it to unlock consistantly on a single slide. I've tried all the different suspend / dim permutations I can think of in smartlock. Nothing seems to hit is just right - and that's a lot of soft resets!! I can say this, it seems to be related to sleep versus suspend. the screen can go completely dark - and if I wake it up and unlock it in a certain amount of time (less than a minute) it will unlock on one slide. If it actually goes into suspend mode (longer than a minute) it will take two slides of the unlock to get it to open. and of course. If i lock with the key combo (either end key hold - or Start->Lock) it will unlock just as designed, with a single slide. "Things that make you go hmmmm,...." |
