Re: Building my First ROM !!
From step*** 12. When you get the file xip_out.bin on the kitchen copy it to MY tools> XIP_new_porter folder.
Also copy it to xip.bin_new IN HERE RENAME IT SO IT SAYS "xip.bin" NOw Do step 13.>>>>>> REALLY IMPORTANT YOU DO THIS STEP. 14. Now go to the kitchen's CMD and select insert XIp into ROM, then select which ever phone you have, in my case it will be Insert XIP into Diamond ROM 15. Make a ROM folder. It will open a program, when the program opens you will see "payload folder then ..., click on .... and locate where you put the os.nb.payload file from step 3 16. Now read this steps before actually doing it: Click on NEW Xip Folder and browse exactly like this MyTools>xip.bin_new and select xip.bin file, a message will pop out saying " File: NEW Xip.bin present, Overwrite???" Click YEs You will now get an error message click "Quit" and as soon as you click quit close the kitchen's cmd. (Very important to do that) Now open up the kitchen cmd an open up the program again. Click on "NEW Xip Folder" browse to MyTools Folder> XIP_new_ported select xip-out.bin. When the message pops out click yes. It will now say new Xip imported successfull. click ok From here click Find Start Xip Offset. Write it, You will get this message "NEW os.nb.payload is upped successfull!!!" Click ok A new windows will open, close it. In the same program go to ROM Tools Click on Write, click ok ANOTHER message that pops up. Again close the window. Click done. Close the program. The cmd will do something, don't touch anything. When it says " ROM folder was created..... Press any key to continue.... Close the cmd. Delete ROM.old from main kitchen, and your done. If you still can't get it, just send me a PM and I'll help you out. |

Also, this whole process is only necessary if you are using an XIP that a chef has cooked their aku version initials into. Otherwise, you can simply do one of the following: 1. Create a package that has the following reg entry: Code:
REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Versions] "Aku"=" grooveROM 4" 3. Edit the default aku version reg entry in the shell folder of the sys with the above reg key. Last edited by indagroove; 03-23-2009 at 11:55 PM. |
