Just flashed MightyROM Now getting Memory problems.

Today i just went over to MightyROM 4.12. I like how fast it is, but it is hogging all my memory.

With Touchflo3d:
At start up 83% memory is in use. After 2 min of Use, 96% memory is in use.

With Touchflo3d Disabled:
At start up 79% memory is in use. After 2 min of just sitting on my desk. 93% memory in use.

I have no installed any extra programs on after a ROM flash.

I have tried using advance config to solve issue on one ROM flash, by increasing cache to 8mb... also went as low as 256kb cache.
Also set file filter cache up to 32178 sectors... and as low as 1024 sectors.

Flashed 1 ROM at a standard 20mb page pool
Flashed 2nd time at 32mb page pool
flashed 3rd time at 64mb page pool.

All attempts seem to yield the same result of high memory usage.
Main reason it is a problem:
Cant use browser or run any programs aside from very low end programs, for example file explorer.

I have tried using memmaid and something called oxios. they both only seem to free up 100 to 300kb of memory.

Any help here would be GREATLY appreciated.

My only suggestion - post it on MightyROM's thread.

Have you hard reset one more time ?

That is acturally where i meant to put this heh. Guess i hit back to many times. Just did a Hard reset. Going to wait for it to complete before i repost on Mighty's Rom page.

Feel stupid that i forgot about Hard Reset. Will let you know how it turns out here.

Re: Just flashed MightyROM Now getting Memory problems.

Set the page pool to 6 or 8MB. Verizon TPs are crippled, and you won't have much RAM.

Re: Just flashed MightyROM Now getting Memory problems.

Or Bored's...

Mighty runs nice on sprints...

Re: Just flashed MightyROM Now getting Memory problems.

Since you are running the VZW TP, I would suggest using Scott's ROMS as they are set up with the lack of RAM in mind.

I tried running Mighty's and a few others and ran into very similar problems with the memory and have found Scott's amazingly fast and very usable.

his ROMs can be found here http://www.scottcrosler.com/ as well as his latest kitchen.

+1 for Scotts ROM. I would use that too if I were you.

Re: Just flashed MightyROM Now getting Memory problems.

you could also try upping the PP up a bit, to 12MB, and see if it gives you a balance of speed and usability/free RAM.
