Help! need to get back to factory defaults to activate phone!!

Ok so I got my replacement phone after my keyboard broke. I flashed merdins rom onto it before I activated the phone.. Now when I try to activate it I get to the point where I need to type in the ## thing with the numbers and it will not go through to the screen so I am unable to finish programming it. I tryed flashing the stock rom but it still starts back up with the custom rom, I think I am doing something wrong trying to get it back to stock.. can somone point me in the right direction to a thread with instructions on how to do this, or give me some advice. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

The issue is the phone dialer skin that merdinh is using you can try changing the skin with a program like advanced config or diamond tweak.

what device do u have? and also did you download the stock sprint ROM and try to flash it back?

Or, just flash back to the stock one, do the ##(msl)# activation, update the data profile using the application in Settings, and then flash the rom.

like to help ya, but need to know what have you tried to flashed back your original rom? I had the same problem as you before, and what I did is I just downloaded the original sprint rom from the sticky thread:

Once downloaded hook ur TP to your computer and run the upgrade.

It is the Touchpro, I downloaded

Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.zip from this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503. If I am not mistaken isn't this the stock rom?

It loaded just fine and when I restarted the phone I still had the Merdin settings. When I loaded it, it was a .exe file instead using the RUU when I installed that custom rom.. Am I just stock flashing wrong?

Also on the wall paper thing I may take a whack at the before I try to get it back to stock. Also on the ##(msl)# thing I don't totally know what you mean, if that is the ## plus the various numbers sprint give you followed by # to get in to to customize, that is where the problem is. when I hit the last # it flashes and kicks me out back to the dialer.

If i'm not mistaken, what you downloaded is just the unlock.

To get back to sprint original rom, do the following:

1) Go http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42741 and download the "Updated version:" from the section "Sprint (thanks to Chappy):"

2) Once downloaded, extract and run the update.

3) Once step two is done and after a restart, you should be back to original sprint rom.

If im not mistaking the only thing your doing is unlocker the phone with that zip. Here is a link to the stock rom that I believe you are looking for http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42741 Lookunder stock roms. Let me know if this is what is happening?

Follow what xboxp put in his post. The Raphael HDSPL O37 is just an unlock program not a ROM. If you have problems PM me and I will try to e-mail you a Sprint rom.
