Hibby, this is VERY promising, I used it today and it worked very well. Still has some of those Beta-Bugs ( like the wallpaper disappearing). I can't wait until stuff like that is fixed!

For the sms, might I suggest other people use something like SMSatHand or Vito SMS.

They are much better than the WinMo sms and do not have type lag!

i dont see a v3.1 link, is it the v3 link? i ask cuz i am dl throuh my phone and i want to make sure i dl the right one.

All right, 3.1 is success for threaded messaging!

However, I went and attempted this:

Disable start-up sound / change it - [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation] Rename both 'StartupGif' and 'StartupWav' to new values, or leave blank to disable

However, the "*\HTCAnimation" appears to be absent from the registry. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to remove the startup sound?
