Hard time scrolling with stock contacts app...

I am using a eRice cooked rom. I am loving it and my New TP, but for some reason I am having a heck of a time with scrolling the contacts. I can scroll it if i flick it hard, but its impossible to get it to scroll slowly and smoothly. I coulda sworn it worked fine on a past flash of the same rom. Everything else scrolls great with the tweeks for TF3D as well as the normal screen but they did nothing to change me contacts issue. Has anyone else had this problem and know a fix besides another contacts app? The stock one works well but its kinda hard to use atm with no scroll bar and a hard time scrolling normally.
