I'm considering cooking a Sprint based ROM, need suggestions, have many questions.

I am fairly certain that I will cook a sprint based ROM, and like the title says I have questions and need suggestions.

The reason I would like to create my own is because I have tried many ROMs out, and my touch pro just seemed to get slower and slower. Yes I did a hardreset and restore everything to default, then hard reset again, still had problems. I am not suggesting that any ROMs I tried harmed my device at all, nor am I asking for advice or any solutions in relation to the above mentioned flashing experience. I am merely stating my reasons for wanting to create my own, not to say that mine will be great, but in creating a cooked ROM I believe I will learn much about the whole process.

I have a sprint touch pro, so I want to use a sprint based ROM, simple as that.

What kitchen is the best for creating a sprint based ROM?

What sprint ROM should I use to base the ROM off of? I understand there are a couple out there.

Is there any way to make the ROM flash the radio and the ROM at one shot?

Sprint TV and Picture mail, what are some good alternatives? I would like to have picture mail and some sort of TV. (TV does not need to work with sprint tv, rather is there a good substitute)

I consider (in my limited knowledge) these programs (listed below) to be essential, what else am I missing?
Google Maps and Live Maps
HTC Torch or the other flashlight program. (I tried htc torch, is the other one better? (perhaps having a variable light setting instead of low and high)

Battery saving tweaks, what are those and do they work good?

Fast charge feature, does it make the battery not get an actual full charge? (It is widely known among battery experts that a slow charge is usually a better charge then a fast charge)

Opera - I am a die hard opera fan and have been using it for almost ten years on the PC. I hate to say it, but I.E. is much easier to use and read then opera mobile. Should I even include opera? Who uses it?

WiFiRouter program looks pretty essential for me, is this the only or best solution of its type?

This thred is a work in progress, so I will be asking more questions as time goes on.

WHo has the best ROM building tuts?

LOL, it seems you have some linked in your sig, I will start looking there.

Helping me with some of these questions is still very important IMO, expecially the ones about essential programs.
