Re: *Development Tools* /For new chefs!
Xip porting tool by ervius. Aside from BuildOS its the most useful tool I have. I've enclosed a few of my source xips inside to get you started. You need to unzip and place this folder in your C:\ drive for it to work properly. This tool lets you port an xip to your device in seconds as compared to hours just using xipport and M'Reloc. If you find this tool useful please send him a donation at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/member.php?u=92431. He isn't very active here in the CDMA forums but he is a HUGE player in the gsm world. Useage: Place your os.nb.payload in payload folder. Dump your xip from your devices payload and place your source xip in the new xip folder (source must be named xip.bin) and select the options you want and press port it.
Edit: To put it into perspective (on the time savings from this tool) this is the other way of doing and its a good idea to learn how to do xip porting manually so you can do it if a tool fails. GGuruUsa's xip tutorial is here : http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...xip#post378506 After reading the Tut you can see how much of a timesaver this tool is.
