lol all you had to do was uninstall and reinstall activesync. all good man.

You don't actually have to uninstall active synch the is the driver uninstall the device from device manager then let it reinstall itself. Quicker easier no reboot required.!

Actually I tried that...and ALLLL the other suggestions here and other places. Nothing made a difference besides COMPLETELY uninstalling and reinstalling active sync - even tho I wasn't using active sync (I was manually entering bootloader mode). Who knows.

Just for the record I did redownload hardSPL at the same time, but it was the same file so I'm pretty sure it was the activesync reinstall.
