Could one of you ROM Cookers look at the Treo Pro Rom for AFLT information?
Could someone with the know-how please check out the Sprint Treo Pro rom: I'm wondering if you can find any software components that would be enabling the AFLT location for 3rd party apps? There are a number of sprint users with phones (touch pro, diamond, etc) that have their AFLT software blocked by sprint, but we all know it's enabled on the Treo Pro. Any ideas? Maybe it's part of the radio? Maybe it's something run on initial customization? There would be a lot of very happy people if we could get AFLT unlocked on these other phones so they can run their google latitude/facebook whatever apps in standby mode and show strangers/friends their whereabouts.
And no, QPST doesn't help, AFLT is already enabled. The touch pro DOES work with AFLT, but only through sprint dev apps, like Family Locator. They've removed this location blocking/encryption in the Treo Pro.
Thanks!
