Darn, I already flashed prior to seeing this. Can you post a sample of those reg keys? I'll try to build my city in.

Juicy - thanks for the ROM man it's great - thought I would weigh in on the corrupted ringtone since you requested. I flashed late last night and did a hard reset (volume, select and power buttons) I then fell asleep and when I got up this morning I did a hard reset via clear storage. (didn't install any programs) I looked at my phone and noticed that I received a phone call but never heard the ring so I went in to the settings - sounds and notifications to see what was selected. I saw the ring tone selected and played it because I figured it may just be a quieter ring tone and noticed it was corrupted. I tried a few others and the same. I then soft reset and went back chose a ring tone, put the phone on ring and vibrate and tried it and it worked fine. Has worked fine the rest of the morning - with no problems.

Hope this helps

Re: [ROM] [Apr 23] JUICY 7 - Build 090423H (21501.5.0.70) [UC] *Rhodium Manila*

I posted a temp fix for these newer builds of WM6.5 that all have the ringer bug. Below is how 2 fix. If you have an alert sound that you need for text or an alarm just drop the wav file in my documents folder. (\storage card\my documents\whatever.wav) and it will let you pick it for an alert.

I built my own rom using the ppckitchen. The odd thing was I was having the same issues. All the stock ringtones and notifications would not work when trying to preview them under start > Settings > Personal > phone. I would get the file cannot be played it might be corrupted message, However All my ringtones that i made that were not wma or mp3. I make my ringtones in wav format bc they play faster and with less delay and always work. When selecting one of my own ringers they work fine. So a temp fix might be to convert the tones u want to a wav format.

I do not have the bug with the new mighty 5 rom. as it plays wma and mp3 ringers fine.

Something even more odd was the phone would play mp3's and wma files using any music player such as s2p, wmp, and mort player. The bug only affected the ringers and notifications.

After playing with MR5 i noticed i don't get the error that the ringtone is corrupted it just does not play when selected... But guess what my wave tones play fine... It may take a little more space but I have plenty as I always store my ringtones on my storage card. \\Storage Card\My Documents\My Ringtones\

And when restoring my contacts between flashes using Dot Freds PIM Backup 2.8.

Sense the ringers are always in the same place as soon as I restore the contacts all of the custom tones I have set for each caller work no need to re-set up anything. The only ringer I have to mess with after flashing is the default tone.

Re: [ROM] [Apr 23] JUICY 7 - Build 090423H (21501.5.0.70) [UC] *Rhodium Manila*

Can someone Please help me out on this one... I didn't get any thoughts or responses the last time I asked about this... This only started with the last release and now 90423H, but my contacts do not show up when they call or text, just phone #s. I transfered over my contacts using Sprite, and everything has always worked just fine. It's funny cause a few contacts would show when they called but most would not. Even after I re-added them. Maybe a problem going from 6.1 to 6.5? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, that works, or turn off the phone's radio before restoring. You can see how far along the text restoration process is once PIM Backup is done by going into the text message "program"...but I think soft-reseting is far better method!

i dont see what the big deal is, You guys are the only ones tghat don't use custom ringtones? Like the guys said before it might be a script error due too th efile not being wav FORMAT etc, etc
just try an make your own tone it only takes like 1 min to be honest
