I really do appreciate having the opportunity to "preview" a lot of the new Windows Mobile 6.5 features. It saves me much of the grief I would have experienced pining for the Touch Pro 2. I think it's 6.1, 7 or back to the iPhone for me.
I'm going to have to disagree. These builds are just getting faster and faster for me. I generally use it stock for a bit to see how much my customizations slow it down though... and so far... barely at all.

I hope you find the issue that is slowing your ROM down.

I have the same alarm issue. The Alarm ring goes on for 1/4 of a second and right after the Reminder alarm goes on. So I just made my Reminder ring the same as the Alarm ring. Goes on longer. I'm probably going to disable the Alarm sound later.

There isn't really a bottle-neck. 6.5 has a great memory management system and can handle multi-tasking quite well. i haven't had the phone choke up on me yet.
just curious, which apps do you do this for? is there anyway that this can be changed to add my own preferred apps via .reg or some config file that i don't know about?

Juicy,

here is a problem I found.. When starting the phone (reset) it shows 'messaging' in the start menu. then if you lets say, go to settings, turn on bluetooth, the menu options of bluetooth end up on the start bar also, and the softkeys on bottom dont work.. this never happend with sat's version.

From what I've been told, the "messaging" thing is a 6.5 issue.

I was having the same issue until I did a hard reset. After you do that and then test it I have attached an upgrade for youtube that will give you the settings options.
