Sync Starts Data Connection (Juicy's 4.7)

I'm running Juicy's 4.7 and the Telus 1.04 radio.

Whenever I sync to my pc using the Activesync option, the phone will start a data connection after a few seconds by itself. Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon? All I'm doing is plugging the phone to the computer and everything happens automatically.

I am still using pdanet, so this forces me to end the data connection whenever I tether my phone (it's a little annoying, but not terrible). I couldn't find any posts about this.

Re: Sync Starts Data Connection

It could have to do with an auto-update app, such as Email, Weather, or something along those lines.

Why would I disable Activesync? I need Activesync. Something on the phone is initiating the data connection and it may be some kind of auto-update thing like hamidxa suggested.

Guess I'll have to do some sleuthing.
