Oh and if I was mad I wouldnt be re-basing the ROM as I type this ;c)

The pedometer is a G-sensor app. It has nothing to do with GPS...and I'll answer your other question as soon as I stop laughing.........NO, I've never done an OEM in my life....you forget, I'm a hardware man.

Bob, I just thought of something. I know what may be causing your autoRun / autoshortcut issue.... I am going to attempt to fix that tonight as well because to me that is a show stopper..... Even if I have to miss just one app I would be pissy. Im a perfectionist so.... You know... Give me some detail so I can reproduce. PM if you need to....
Thanks

I forget exactly what the error messages were, but something like "can't find mailowner.cab is the first one, the about a dozen "Can't find options.xml". I have to click each one until it finally clears. Then I remove the SD card and start all over again.

Bob, I confirmed I do NOT have the proper XML that was posted in previous threads that were deleted. Do you still have a copy?

I assume you're talking about TF3D Config. The 2 tweak files are in Post #580 and Digital Attic's cab with them included is in #721. Both those posts still exist.

Other apps that I use:
1) TRACKME - I've gotten to like it and use it on all trips so people know exactly where I am http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340667
2) Batti - It's a visual batttery Indicator - creates a thin colored line across the top that tells you instantly what the battery level is at a glance. Unfortunately, the project was discontinued, but the app is stable at Vers 2.4. I think it's the best battery indicator out there. and doesn't take up any screen space. http://code.google.com/p/batti/downloads/list

If I think of others, I'll let you know.

Bob

Edit: You can see if you can definitely determine whether the battery issues are hardware or software related. I know, that's probably a monsterous task.....but you asked for suggestions

Bingo. But I dont even use the contacts as I map it to the soft key of the HOME tab.

The calendar is just hot!

It has four icons on the bottom, looks like "contacts", "SMS", email and "guy w/a phone" . Press the Text message balloon icon --- nothing. press and hold it, a grey screen appears with "Messages" in it - goes back to the white screen when I take finger off. Clicking on the Top rectangle does nothing. It says Messages on the left and an empty contact picture on the left. Pressing "Menu" also does nothing.

Thanks for the lightening fast response.

Ok, I think I have found away to solve most newb problems and itsz something that will benegfit everyone... And not just by eliminating newb problems ;c)

I realized I was neglecting something that other chefs were doping to make more space. They were removing or OEM'ing things like ringtones and pic files. I just trimmed 10 Megs right there. So thats 10 megs of space for applications. I also removed junk from my OWN SSK folder to clear up sapce. Basically remnant stuff.

All in all I cleared about 14 megs of space up in the ROM so that is 14 more megs of apps you can add. Not bad?

Look at stuff related to SMS....If you still need help AFTER looking, come on back and we'll try to help or post your question there. They are the experts. Besides, you may find solutions to other problems you have (or at least learn something). Like I said earlier - I don't use SMS
