Smile Success using PPCKitchen using Windows 7 Beta

I have successfully built a PPCKitchened ROM using a 32 bit laptop with build 7000 of Win 7 Ultimate (the client version) and got it to flash sans issue. It was not affected by IE8 either. My next experiment will involve win 7's big brother, server 2k8 R2 enterprise x64. I'll let you know how i make out.

anyone else start playing with these betas yet? i dig the interface though it's far from RTM quality, the simplified, more organized approach is easy, intuitive, and doesn't sacrifice power or the ability to control your experience to a fine degree which is often lost when "user friendliness" because the design goal. check it out, can D/l from MS for free.

i played with the first betas but not the new beta that was released to the public... i couldnt get my drivers to work with the old betas so i just gave up on it....when this thing first comes out its going to have the same compatibility issues vista did because it needs a driver made for windows 7....

a lot of the win vista drivers still work for 7. i've noticed this with both 32bit and 64bit builds. i suppose the HCI people had their way with the os, and the real code poets were too busy trying to get away from them to change much of the abi/api structure

i like windows 7. same features of vista, yet so much better.

I couldn't get PPCKitchen to work correctly with WindowsSeven, i'm going to reinstall and hope it works. It opens up but the program is blank.

Actually once all is said and done, most, if not all vista drivers will work on windows 7. So if you are having trouble finding drivers, look for the vista driver and it should work.
