Ditto...

That help thread is totally worthless. The google employee that "answered" the question didn't answer it at all.

But this thread: http://www.google.com/support/forum/...7d93f611&hl=en

Suggests that we don't get background updates because Latitude uses Cell-ID for that, not GPS. So is Cell ID disabled/not available in the touch pro?

Do you guys notice how fast google maps picks up your location. I get my location in under 5 seconds from a cold start.

Can everyone change their picture? I was able to on my wife's 800w but when I tried on my Touch Pro, I couldn't even see pictures while browsing for one to change to.

I was able to change my picture on my Diamond and my Touch Pro, you might have to go into the folder twice

Good question. Is there some sort of registry edit that could be done to enable the cell ID feature? This problem makes latitude a lot less useful. My Dad has a blackberry and his updates about every five minutes which makes this more useful.

I had the same problem, there must be some kinda bug. All I did was found the picture I wanted, hooked up the phone via usb. Make sure to put the pic on the device and not the storage card. Put the pic in device, my docs and then my pictures. Once you do that it should pop right up. Make sure not to use any sub folders.

My buddy has it on his GSM Blackberry. He's on my list.
