Yep! I slapped the 1.11 sprint radio on (was running stock 1.03) and for me it seems a wee bit better. Still had it get into that "data connected, but no data" state I was hoping to avoid, but generally seem a hair more battery friendly.

Backup*, unlock, and try em all. No hard reset needed, so why not

* because bad things can always happen!

Re: Newer radio? (Telus?)

just type ##DEBUG# in the phone app. It will let you see the signal strength in dBm. I see about an 8-10 dBm improvement with the Telus radio in the same spot...

No problem.

But - Do keep in mind that since reception varies greatly depending on location, your results may or may not match mine. In my area, I have over 99% signal strength at my desk. You may not have that same coverage, and that will directly effect your battery life, phone temperature, etc.

Also - Repeating my call - Can someone with some Excel skills please chart my data and make some sense of it?

Better yet... what's the conclusion of your evaluation? I mean, what's the bottom line?

I'm not sure what you're hoping to find out. I've glanced over the files but it looks like you're always plugged into power and the log files don't have any signal information, just power and temp...

What were you hoping to "chart" that you can't see just by opening the files?

Just glanced at the data briefly and noted that the battery temp was lower than the others running stock.

Re: Newer radio? (Telus?)

I was hoping for something like a line graph with all the values labeled - For example, showing a high power consumption curve for the stock ROM and a lower one for the Telus ROM.

My eyes suck at interpreting large amounts of undifferentiated text data - Charts work better.

The values that I thought would be interesting to see would be battery mAh draw, temp, and signal. Perhaps others, perhaps not.

Tests for the remaining three radios will be coming in a couple hours.

Re: Newer radio? (Telus?)

Seems to me the Following

Radio version 1.03.15F
Temp is lower than all the rest with the highest at 50.88F but the drawback is it has high power consumption

Radio version 1.11.00F
THis one the Temp is at highest 56.12F but the power consumption was low

Radio version 1.04.05V (Telus)
The highest temp here was 55.56F and the power consumption was fairly the same as 1.11.00F

Conclusion:
1.03.15F -> LOW TEMP but MASSIVE BATTERY DRAIN
1.11.00F -> HIGHER TEMP but LOWER CONSUMPTION
1.04.05V -> BETTER TEMP ans SAME CONSUMPTION as 1.11.00F

These were my views.
