All GPS is working for me just fine.

Noticed pagepool was set back to 10 so I did an experiment and it looks like Dynamic is using around 13 just after it loads, I'll keep an eye on it BUT memory usage was below 40% with 15.1 and is just over 40% with 15.2 (with a 0MB pagepool) so I'm not worried about that.

I timed the FS load time and it's the same with 10MB static pagepool as with a dynamic pagepool so I'm running dynamic. I figure I'll be the guinie pig but so far my impressions since 14.1b are that dynamic is faster...

Maybe placebo but maybe not, guess I'll give Futuremark a call tomorrow; that should clear this up.

I also prefer the S2A from the HD over S2A2 but when Scott posts the kitchen I guess I'll figure out how to cook it myself. =)

Boy, this is strange. I'm only showing 1 sat, and I always lock quickly with at least 6. I"m running 1.2, not the Beta, so I should be good. I've use GPS many times before tonite with no problems

I just realized that I normally don't use TF3D when I run GPS. I turned off TF3D, soft reset, and now I have 10 locked sats. You might try that.

After I got Lock, I turned TF3D back on and it still remained locked..

Maybe it was the soft reset that did the trick....hadn't reset all day

Change your Baud Rate to 57600. Then try it. When using QuickGPS, it seems that QuickGPS is downloading information for that Baud Rate and you will get a lcok in under 15 seconds.

Beta 2 is running much better than the preview. The only problem I'm having is Opera will not launch and stay open. It opens up to the start page and then either closes out or locks up the phone. Everything else is great; GPS locked in under 15 seconds without running any tools. The phone is quick and responsive as usual with no other issues that come to mind. I'm back to using Skyfire for now until I can sort out this Opera thing. Any ideas?

I have a somewhat unexplainable aversion to 21109 after seeing the hodge podge of actual system versions in the SYS (according to sysversion.exe), after seeing a number of Chinese language references (meaning it may have been hacked out of a Chinese-only release), and after hearing that it is a "hexedit" version number. For the brief time I used it with the old XIP 2E (the one that broke phone settings), I didn't have any major issues, just a couple of minor ones. But with 20764 I have had zero issues. So I'm not saying you should switch - in fact I'd like to hear more about how it's working for you - if 21109 is indeed faster (source and reasons aside) and stable and bug-free, I may switch back. It's easy now.

Pagepool size shouldn't affect boot time - the pagepool is used as needed. Setting it to zero means unlimited - Windows gets as much as it needs. Unless you run out of memory, this will be the fastest solution. I think you have the Sprint phone, so you get 64MB more memory than VZW (32K real, 32K less reserved for radio stack). I'd stick with zero until you run low on memory. Then try 32MB.

Scott - with all your free time, you may want to post the same beta ROM with 20764 SYS / XIP 3E, no other changes. See if some of these strange issues (Opera, sound, answer, bluetooth, etc.) go away...
