Thanks, but it was just because the one built into the 3.0 ROM was running. Once I shut down that process, I was able to install it. However, I wanted to delete the ROM one, but it wouldn't let me delete it because it was in the ROM even though I changed it from Read-Only.

Additionally, this version did not work either...However, I'm not truly convinced because of the existance of another version in ROM. Someone who doesn't have it burned into ROM needs to try it.

howevr, it still doesn't work for me because of "I don't have the right permissions" could be a conflict with the one built into the 3.0 ROM...going to try to rename that one and try again

Sorry, never came back from dinner... had one of those good old fashioned nights without my TP. I know, very strange... but it was nice!

I do actually have SDKCerts.cab installed... it goes in with my SDconfig, so that might be why i didnt have issues installing the newer shutXP

I may actually try to pull that outa cab form and back it into a flash... or try that cab of scotts for the stock shutdown then try this newer shutXP... either way, thanks very much for the link Bob!
