ROM Troubleshooting Utility

I have spent two days looking at forums and trying to reconstruct what people have done to get their ROM or Relocked going.

I have unlocked the unit as stated and verified screens, etc, etc, etc

Cannot flash new rom, it gets to gray screen and get error 262

Have of the threads state to try to relock, if you follow this then you get error 284

I have attempted with Active Sync and Micro SD via XP machine

The problem with the forum is that no one seems to post their final solution once they are able to resolve their issue, unless they gave up???.

Does any of the ROM developers have a step by step to address Error 262 and Error 284

Smile Re: ROM Troubleshooting Utility

After spending 2 more hours today, I found the following after scrubbing a quite substantial amount of posts:

1) A lot of the problems wre based on people thinking that the unlocking was succesful and proceeded to run ROM's receiving error 262

2) A lot of people thought they had unlocked and they tried to relock, they got Error 274.

3) A lot of of people also had problems trying to unlock their phones after a Hard Reset, found Error 274

I can summarize also the following:

A) Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team THREAD even tough a sticky is really conflictive in statements of things that do not belong there.

However Thanks to Post #144 on the Thread by KAESLUMZ. He states to go into the Device/Settings/Connections/ USB to PC/Uncheck Adavanced Functionality.

This resolves a lot of the connections problems.

The other thing to keep in mind is that having the phone turn off has in several forums part of the problem. Keep your phone on when you are flashing.

I Hope this helps.

Re: ROM Troubleshooting Utility

Arsenalfan, when I mean the phone off, I am talking the people have put the plane on airplane mode. The radio is off. This was found in separate websites as a problem. Some people were succesful in unlocking and flashimg after taking the phone out of that mode.
