Falshing

I have unlocked my PRO however when I try to flsh any ROM. I get Error 202 Communication. I follow the screen recovery to no sucess. It has even shut my computer down on 2 ocassions. I troed from SD and it just stays in the Gray screen saying Loading.

I have search the threads but I cannot find any guidance. For example should I hard reset my unit and try again???

What OS are you running on your computer and what method of flashing are you using? Active Sync?

I found that sometimes I have to re-boot the computer to get the phone to communicate with the computer again.

Re: Falshing

If you're trying to flash from the stock 1GB SD card (provided with the phone), then it won't work since it isn't FAT32.

One time I did not have a card reader on me and I was struggling to flash (all I had was a Mac which didn't have Windows loaded up on it).

I ended up using this to format that card as FAT32 (you don't have to select FAT32, it just does that):

Then you're all good and can flash from SD.

Re: Falshing

I resolved the issue and posted my findings as ROM Troubleshoot Utility.

Thanks for the feedback.
