how come the power settings and brightness do not save after being set? I hate how dull the screen looks at the stock brightness setting, but the only thing i can think of is the settings are unchangable to save battery or even memory RAM?

I have tried installing the Advanced Config tool to set the power settings and brightness and still no luck...is this hard coded inside the ROM or something?

no go to settings/power backlight tab and uncheck auto adjust backlight

how do i get MMS, Task manager working? are there cabs out there for the verizon version?

I havent ran this ROM for quite some time now but these cabs should work for you.
