Just dropping a note to say hi

I've been trying to install a custom ROM on my phone for a couple months now and never found a complete way to get it to work. Tried it tonight and after some research, decided to give JD's rom a spin as my first. After reading the comments, I'm happy with what I see so far! Great work JD!

I love this ROM! I have tried many others and this one seems to run the smoothest and also is packed with good stuff.

I do have a problem that might prevent me from using this ROM, however. I bluetooth tether extensively because I travel so much for work. I have tried the stock ROM when I first got the phone and had no problem with tethering. Now using this ROM I can connect just fine, but if I access too much data (websites using more data streaming) my bluetooth connection drops and my internet sharing "disconnects" I can however USB tether just fine and I'm using it to post this. I like bluetooth better because its faster and easier to connect. Does anyone have any suggestions? It seems to be a data streaming issue. I have had a mogul before this and never had any issues with my cooked ROM on it using the same laptop.

Thanks for any help. I hope its an easy fix. I don't want to go back to stock.

has anyone added a call history tab to this rom? when i add the code in the 298xxxx manila file i get a solid icon.

Why you would want a call history tab when its right there on the home screen.

Will this be a new version or what?

I.E. should I be looking for a 6.x or should I continue to monitor this thread?

why do ppl adda calendar tab? or a comm settings tab? personal preference my friend. you can remove the call history and calendar wording from the home screen if it bothers you.

just flashed to this rom and so far its pretty good. one thing i noticed is you can't hit reply to txt msg's from manilla.

JD posted a fix for this. see post #37 on page 4 of this thread.
