S.O.S. Htc Pro FROZE after "HTC Home Plugins" was installed!! HELP!!
I installed HTC Home Plugins on a Sprint Htc Pro and froze..
I am running WM6.1 and have only installed the following: HHCv10Final HHC-Appearances-20080309-10FINAL htchome-2.1-hermes-n2a.cab (<- Problems started here) When it boots I don't get the "Home screen" and the soft keys nor touch screen work. I only hear the half of the startup sound before it freezes. I have performed Soft Resets and nothing.. I have also performed Hard Resets, and it keeps freezing.. (Can only perform this while the WM6.1 green logo is showing, before OS loads) Does anyone know how to disable or uninstall "HTC Home Plugins" to prevent from loading? Safe mode option? Any suggestions?? Would greatly appreciate any help!! |

Can you can get to the Tri-color Screen and reflash? Copy the Rom to the root of your SD Card and rename it to RAPHIMG from RUU_signed Hold Power+Vol Down and reset WHILE STILL HOLDING the two buttons. If the file is in place it should ask you to press power to reflash. I hope this helps, Good Luck!

Once you get it going again, you may want to try this one out http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=618511 since it is set up for VGA. Still a little bit of a work in progress though because there aren't a whole lot of replacement themes made for it yet.

I don't think you need to unlock to install any of them. I think that guy wasn't paying attention and thought you were trying to install a rom. You will probably need the sdkcerts.cab as well though since I had to sign it after an edit. To be honest though, I haven't tried it on a stock ROM.
As for the freezing from the version you have, some versions of HTC Home do not work with 6.1 that well. It was kind of a big issue for people at the time 6.1 ROMs started coming out. I don't think there was ever a fix besides a hard reset and then getting a compatible version of HTC Home. |
