Talking Re: [2-21-09] KK's Loaded ROM v1.6 Sprint and Others [OS 5.2.20954 Build 20954] [UC]

Still on 1.5, and based on the changelog, I see no real need to jump to 1.6. I believe I'll wait for some more major revisions to take place.

I absolutely love this rom. My only complaint is at times, the phone bogs down, and is slow to react. TF3d in particular... I will slide to select my tab, and it will occasionally "stick" on a tab, with the description displayed above, and I have to click the tab again, or hit the home key to get it to snap out of it. This is even with a 32mb PP (bumped it up from 24 as I figured a little more room could only make it easier to breathe).

This slowdown includes the hardware keyboard when typing texts/emails/anything. Granted, everything I type is buffered and eventually makes it onto the screen, versus the stock Sprint rom that drops after about 10 chars, so I really cant complain too much about that. Every keypress and click I make is buffered and executed when it can be done, which is a big plus.

I do have a couple questions, if anybody can answer them.

On the Messages tab, I see two magnifying glasses, I assume for zooming. They dont do anything other than flash when clicked. What is their purpose?

On the statusbar, to the left of the EV icon, there is a gray icon with a light gray circle...looks like a full moon. It also does nothing when clicked. Whats it for?

With regards to roaming settings, what is the difference between Standard, Automatic A, Automatic B versus Home/Roaming?
Since I have no idea, I've done some testing over the past several days (Sprint v1.11.00F radio, prl60650).
My test reults:
Home: Works as it should..home network (Sprint) only, w/ EVDO
Automatic A: apparent equivalent of Home (Sprint) Only, but 1xRTT only
Automatic B: Seemingly proper "automatic", switching between roam+home, with a bias towards 1xRTT, but allowing occasional EVDO if I'm lucky
Standard: apparent equivalent of Roaming Only, with only 1xRTT data
Roaming Only: proper roaming networks only, with a bias towards 1xRTT data

At home, the only available coverage is roaming. As such, I have no idea what selection I should be using for the best experience. I prefer the old options: Home(Sprint), Automatic, or Roaming. What exactly is supposed to be the difference between the above?

Either way.. KK, you've done a fantastic job with this. I am one seriously happy camper. Keep it up!
