Well i installed 1.4 when it first came out and I have not even soft resetted my phone yet.

I have not had the same luck. Over the past few days I have had to soft reset my phone a few times a day. The only additional things that I have added are the action screen, voice commander and TF3D icons (all have been added with each of your releases).

TF3D locks up when I slide the keyboard out - with out selecting a application prior (this does not happen everytime but when it does I have to soft reset.

After a soft reset the TP locks up on the password screen - another soft reset fixes it.

Lastly the battery life is not as good as v1.3. I am down to 69% after 4 hours of normal use (much worse than with v1.3).

Long story short - it seems something changed in v1.4.

Let me know if you need anymore info or testing.

But for my information... did you hard reset after you initially flashed?

I have not and haven't with the previous versions. I will perform a hard reset now and report back.

I loaded the new v1.4 ROM last night and my battery is dead all ready today. I did not take it off the charger till around 9:30 am. I received no calls and had push mail running that's it. I had v1.2 installed before. I did not do a hard reset after flashing.

I forgot it is also very warm to the touch.

I think it is a good idea for everyone to religiously do a hard reset after flashing. Is it overkill after other flashes have worked before without a hard reset? Maybe. Is it worth doing to eliminate that as a possible solution so that cooks can concentrate on proven problems? I think so.

The battery on this rom has been great with the Telus radio... i think you might want to recomend that first, because I have had the best battery time since I got this phone, once i upgraded the radio, and loaded this rom, I still have the same problem with some of the games... (pipes in particular is the worst) like i told you before it freezes the timer... you cant do anything for a few seconds, then the timer resumes missing the seconds that elapsed, and you can play, for a few seconds anyway till it happens again.

If it is warm to the touch. Something is running or wrong. WIFI is on, Bluetooth or GPS. I have flashed twice today (with my 30 minute customizations) and I am still at 81%.

Hard reset did not seem to do the trick. I am going to go back to v1.3 and see if there is any change. Or I might just hard reset again without adding anything back or maybe both

Either way I will report back with what I find.

Kevan, I posted a link a few pages back for that translator program,its GREAT! To add on the battery drain, my battery is actually aweful, within 2 hours im at 60% and ive made sure nothings running in the background, I havent been able to put a finger on it.
