Anyone know how to change the default theme in the kitchen?
The default for Cal's kitchen installs the flamerize which causes the icon smearing problem....

Does anyone have a good black tsk for 6.5.x that I can replace flamerize with?

Sounds like a bad flash. You could go to the folder, for your carrier, and edit the TSK line in the config_operator.txt. If you remove the TSK line, the theme will just be the default; classic blue. Only black theme that I can think of is the Rock and Republic.



In what order are the files/folders processed when compiling the ROM?

I just recently downloaded Calkulin's Sense Kitchen by TMartin. I keep getting an error when i choose the sys and xip. I dont know if it related to those or not as I'm new to cooking roms. I get a "index is out of range....) I havent done anything to the folders. Just downloaded, unzipped the kitchen, launched kitchen, changed syp and xip both to 23518 and I get the window popping up. Any help would be appreciated.

redownload the kitchen or maybe exttract it again maybe it wasn't all the way extracted

A couple days ago, I tried the last version posted by Calkulin, and it did the same thing also. Same window popping up.

I have always had the error about the button smearing on the stock theme. I've also redownloaded the kitchen numerous times and reburned roms and remade them. Same issue! Its not an issue with me tho. I go to a different theme.

try the zip located the bottom of the post also noticed on around page 611 that someone stated change your theme and then change it back to clear up the screen. I guess the flamerise.tsk is faulty in the kitchen

I know it's not a bad flash...IT has been a long known problem with Cal's 6.5.x kitchen that the default tsk causes smearing. I found a good black 6.5.x so I will try to change the carrier settings to use it.

I am new to this Kitchen building but i have downloaded calkulins visual kitchen and extracted the files. I am trying to build a rom for my HTC tp Verizon that does not lose memory. anyway i have not been able to find any kind of tutorial out there to walk me through the process so i assume i am doing something wrong. when i hit the create button it goes through a process i assume of building the rom and then it will say executing: platformbuilder.exe... It will stay in this position for a couple of minutes and then an error bow pops up that says the following:Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: ...in's Visual VGA Kitchen V4.2\tools\platformrebuilder.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information. then it it make me click (ok)

Can somebody help?

Ok If your using the Verizon Carrier option it is faulty in the kitchen you can use generic and it should build fine also I posted a Verizon Carrier that you can replace in the kitchen if you like
