Re: [ 9-24 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

The last few 23053 builds have been making weird temp/empty folders in My Documents. Anything look familiar? It's just kinda weird... plus occasionally Opera will crash, when I try and download a file, because its trying to list them in the dropdown.

Text and email messaging locks up the phone requiring a soft reset occasionally. For me it happens when opening up to view. The message starts to load then freezes permanently.

Not sure if you got the answer you needed but within each group you can select and deselect by double clicking an individual line item. Say you want to enable facebook and disable YouTube, select one, double click and it will become the opposite of what is was (true or false). Hope this helps. Have fun cooking

Re: [ 9-24 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

just installed a custom rom using the 23414 build... what i noticed is that this rom is fast! but, like all 6.5.1 roms, it has bugs!....

i noticed that when you press on the start menu you see two windows icons, one for the start menu and the other for the lock function...the lock does work, but the icon looks wrong...
second, i dont know if it is because i included notification enhancement that the new 6.5.1 icons that show up dont go down...
and lastly, the htc task manager does not show up, how can i make it show up when you hit the corner or at least know if it is closing the apps with the x button?

ill keep testing to report any bugs, but so far great!

Manila 2.6 will not run on our phone. It was made for a different chipset. 2.5 is extremely similar and has some newer functions.

Re: [ 9-24 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

@Calkulin

I cooked up a 23414 and it's working pretty great. I do have one question though--why was Nikoan89's VGA keyboard removed from the kitchen?

I found the cab online, but for some reason it's causing the vibration motor to kick in when I press hardware keys (kind of annoying). This didn't happen when it was cooked in to 23412.

Anyway, thanks again for the hard work.

Re: [ 9-24 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

23053 is pretty good here.

+ Startup is fast (thanks to 6.5 native kernel)
+ Fairly quick, light on resources
+ Battery is decent (not the best, not the worst)
+ I'm liking the new buttons position. Took some getting used to, but is definitely more finger/thumb friendly

- Some menu bar items out of place/duplicated (due to older apps not knowing the button layout has changed)
- Stability issues with some apps (Opera)
- Calk, PLEASE update Sprite Backup in the kitchen. That old version has severe weirdness with its buttons due to the new SYS
Anybody have first impressions on 23414? I'd like to compare notes.
