Yes but it's a little confusing... Take your .jpg or .png, rename it to Homebackground.img. Make a new cab with Homebackground.img AND the original jpg/png that installs during customization, have it put Homebackground.img into \windows\ and the jpg\png into your directory of choice, then have the CAB set the registry with these keys:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"CachedBackgroundPath"="PATH TO JPG\PNG"
"HomeBackgroundPath"="PATH TO JPG\PNG"

The reason the cab MUST install during customization (in your config_operator.txt) to place Homebackground.img is that if you place the file directly in ROM then it cannot be replaced when you go to set a new wallpaper.

Make sense? Works for me Oh yeah, this is in Rhodium manila and I've only tested it while I have the AllTabsBG mod installed.

Attached is an example I have used in my own rom, it will also work to set a background after boot but the idea is to have it run during first customizations. FYI I used WinCE cab manager to make the cab.

nope. i downloaded it through mediafire just like everyone else. not sure what happened, i had 7zip installed and used that, and it worked just fine, and then i installed winrar and used that too, again with no issues.

Anyone have a cab file for the oem included in this rom called Mobile Wi-Fi Router? I think it's a very useful app and would love to install it on my treo pro. If someone posts a cab file for it, I'll definitely thank them.

well i know it wasnt me thats for sure because i wasnt the only one and i never had any problem downloading and uncompressing his or any kitchen..i also tried 7zip and other versions of winrar..heck i even upgraded to a newer build of windows 7 and still couldnt decompress it w/o errors

Thanks RS, you always answer my questions lightning fast. After reading about the app, I think I'll stick with WMwifirouter. This is still a good app considering it's free.
