I know, I was involved in that discussion. Touch flo scrolling is needed to provide scrolling throuout because 6.5 doesnt cover some apps and menus. It definitely works amazingly well with 23001.

I just flashed calk's precooked Rhodlium ROM and the keyboard is also fine there but it does not have touchflo scrolling and I am pretty sure the clean version did have it, so I am SOL again. So I'll flash back to my trusty Groove 23001 combo.

Another bug I have noticed consistently with the latest with Calc roms that I havent seen in other roms is the Start menu display corruption. Where when you scroll the start menu the icons bleed. Yes you can switch themes, but often doing that turns your top and bottom bars grey and sometimes you have to load you themes several times to get the black bars back. WINMO sucks so bad that themes dont even work correctly most of the time.....

I gotta say, Grooves Roms are solid as well. But I just flashed Calkulin's new 23004 ROM and I haven't ran into any of those problems....

Aside from not being too Sprint friendly like Groove's builds, I like this one just just as much.

You can open a word document and finger scroll it or do you have to use the scrollbars?

If you're cooking a ROM, check Carrier - Sprint in the kitchen and it will be more Sprint friendly. That's why I do with mine, and I have no troubles with any of the Sprint stuff (except power deck doesn't display the right device in PIE).

Nope, I have to use the scroll bar, or my D-pad..... Is that what you meant. By issues?

Using the updated touchflo in conjunction with the 6.5 scrolling you dont need to even have scrollbars anymore because you can finger everything now. Prior to the new driver they could not coexist there were issues.

Question Re: [ Jul 11 ] [ 23004 \ 21051 ] [ v2 ] Calkulin's Kitchen & ROMs

I'm trying to build a rom using the 6.5 kitchen, but keep getting:

Error, last status: "Processing; sys/netcf_all" --> this message is in BuildOS.

Also, just before this error I get another message about specified file path or name are too long - need 260 characters and dir 248 characters.

Can someone please help me out on building a rom with the newest kitchen?

Thanks!

Does anyone have a Opera browser cab to install the factory browser for a sprint touch pro? Thanks for the help.

I ran into that because of the folder name, so I truncated it to "Calkulinsv207-11" Windows seems to choke up a bit when the names get to be too long... Try that. Also, make sure you have .net installed from windows update.

Thanks for your help. That cleared up the error about character length being too long, but I still have this error while buildos is processing sys\NetCF_All:

Error - The file 'temp\dump\GAC_MI~1.DLL' already exists.

I've rebooted and made sure that the temp folder in the kitchen is deleted, but I still can't build a rom with this latest kitchen.
