Here is the cab to Disable them. It will help you at least pinpoint the right CUI reg key.
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu
CUIHandler = 0 (disable HTC menus), 1 (enable HTC Menus)

-Mail or some sort of sync seems to cue that for me too. Do you have anything that syncs or runs on interval? or is it random?

Agreed. I cooked the Tachi Phone Canvas and Tachi Blue/Black Dialer into the 23502 build from the supplied link...and the dialer has a scrollbar, which is HIGHLY annoying.

I really don't feel like digging around in the Tachi thread over on XDA but I have a feeling that may be the best solution unless someone here has some ideas...?

don't know why it worked, but it did... try unzipping and copying the dll to your \Windows folder....

Yes Please... I have the stock diamond/touchpro keypad working with the compact querty option.... but that is only a last resort, I still want the better one to work

That fix worked great. 23502 Is running real nice and smooth on my gimped Verizon i am enjoying it LOL.

I thought the TP2 was still waiting on a HardSPL unlocker?

No, but you have to copy your existing OEMXIPKernel folder from an older build and rename it to 23502.
