Re: [ Jun 14 \ 21051 & 21812 v1.9 ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.6 & ROMs

Hey Calkulin,
I love Fingerboard but I'm having an issue when I just cook only it into my rom. Whenever I use the physical keyboard the stupid word completion keeps coming up even if I completely disable the feature. I don't know if its just me or what but I hate that. If I cook any other SIP plus Fingerboard, then switch to Fingerboard it doesn't happen. Any idea?? Thanks for any help.

[quote=edufur;981130]This Kitchen (21812), yields the closest to perfection I have ever seen! VERY stable, not a SINGLE need for a soft reset after all my tweaks, and the battery life is amazing! I have been running it since it was posted and not a single reset has been needed. I have used many many ROMS and many Kitchens. This has never before been the case!quote]
I think I may have jinxed myself. Turns out, Sprint Navigation is not working. On top of that, it says there is a newer version and asks me if I want to install. When I say yes, it takes me to a webpage that says my phone is not supported. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution?

That's strange mine works flawless. Did it work on 21728 for you?? If so, use the OEM from 21728 and try again.

I think it might be a result of some of the general GPS issues that have been seen. My questions are:

1. Is there an effort to get the GPS drivers honed in for the next rev of this kitchen?
2. Will the "newer" version of Sprint Navigation be included with the next rev?
3. Why does the sprint website think I have an unsupported phone?

Re: [ Jun 14 \ 21051 & 21812 v1.9 ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.6 & ROMs

Everything on the latest ROM is running great and phenomenal battery life. Installed latest s2u2 and although I really love that program the battery was draining superfast and the phone would get hot just sitting there. I uninstalled it and still bad battery and hot phone. I hardreset and used Pocketshield for lock only and phonex for S2A dialer and all is back to awesome.

2 questions
I like to cook in large title bar for it's finger friendliness, but the bluetooth icon shows as a notification, so when i have an actual notification like a reminder, email etc when I click the title bar and get the finger friendly icons and click the notification, because the bluetooth shows as a notification therefore multiple notifications I then get the small non-finger friendly notification native bar that shows the multiple notifications.

I like the rhodium notification menu, which does show multiple notifications in a finger friendly manner but it only allows 5 min snooze (which can be worked around by enabling the OEM popup) but Calcs also doesnt map to email, radio, speaker, the links are dead. So does anyone have a good finger friendly configuration that they are using or is everyone in the same boat?

2nd ? Is there any way to make HTC volume control work properly without having to cook in HTC phone canvas. I notice even if you have volume control checked to cook that if you do not cokk in HTC phone canvas that your volume control will be native, which not only sucks in its lack of finger friendly operation but messes up youtube app playback when adjusting volume. Since I like alternate dialers like phonex, how can I get it to work and save 8-10MB of space by not having to unneccesarily cook in phonecanvas just for volume to work....

With the Volume Control problem. You might want to try unchecking the box to Disable Phone Canvas. I know having that checked will delete the HTCVolumeControl.ddl from the HTCVolume reg key. If you don't check the Phone - Phone Canvas OEM the volume control should still work but I'm not 100% on that.

Yep already did that. The only way I have found to have volume control work properly on any kitchen out there is to have phone canvas also cooked in. The only way I have found to have the nice custom volume popup in WMP and Youtube as well as the normal large system and ring.

I want the nice full screen volume control and no phone canvas too. I'm gonna mess with it a little bit.

As far as the notifications

I was able to take Bored's Rhodium notification OEM put it in Indagroove's latest kitchen and remove notify.dll.0409.mui form inda's sys to get it to work and it worked and linked email etc etc perfectly but I had several problems with my taskbar icons not showing wifi and bluetooth all the time. Not sure if that was rom related or because of removing the folder. Im thinking of trying ths same on this kitchen.

For the daring, OCD, or flash junkie, here's the latest Touch Pro WM6.5 build 21815 tested and clean.

Huge thanks go out to Calkulin and IndaGroove for making this possible

Show me some "Thanks Love" if you find this useful.
