Re: [ Jun 4 \ 21051 & 21728 v1.8 ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.6 & ROMs

Which app is being installed to get the native MMS handling that this rom does so well?

Also, has ANYONE experienced the issue where several hours after a reset (and not immediately) when you open the keyboard it'll bring you back to the today screen forcing you to reopen the application you were in?

great rom Cal, keep it coming!

Anyone have an idea on what is causing this? I hate to say that it is a real deal breaker for me as it renders the use of this fantastic ROM to be extremely annoying! I loaded *GASP* Juicy 7 last night just to cleanse my pallate for a bit while I explore the error some more.

so i'm using sprite backup for the first time, when calkulin comes out with a new build, all i have to do is run sprite and it will update all of my registry edits, and panel edits back to the way i had it set up, and the new build will be on there?

That's what Sprite advertise but I wouldn't trust it if I was u because every time I attempted a restore between ROMS the restored ROM had a developed a bug or two that it didn't have in the previous ROM... Make sure to select level 1 when prompt if u want a complete ROM restore...

Shot in the dark for some help here guys...

I sync all of my work Lotus Notes email account's information (mail, contacts, appointments, etc) to my Touch Pro using EasySync Pro that lies on top of ActiveSync in Windows XP SP3. For this sync to happen EasySync installs a small client on the TP. Everything works fine when I first do it. Then the problems start when I soft reset my phone. Windows Mobile throws an error when trying to start the client that says something along the lines of "cannot find blahblah.exe. Check to make sure the file is signed with a trusted certificate or that the file exists."

I have seen this problem in SSK's old kitchens but not in eRice's kitchen. Is there something I can do about this? Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated.

wonder if lotus notes will sync through WMDC.... I haven't actually tried sprite backup yet, I just reload everything by re-syncing and soon to config a provxml file to reconfig internet settings. I cant wait til calk releases teh new sys though! i had been trying to prot one in from another kitchen, relentless I tell ya!

if it happens when you soft reset, what is happening is that it is not installing the client, but just running it...you are going to have to install the client itself on the phone...thats the only way to get it to work...or just never soft reset

its supposed to work like that, but never does, because the reg edits and a lot of other stuff changes between ROMS..

..so honestly i would never do a full backup/restore using Sprite....just modify the provxml file to include your reg edits and stuff...
