Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 1.1.5

Noob question here....

If I download the kitchen, can I just install Worldcard Mobile on my phone? Or do I have to go through the whole 'cooking' process?

Thanks!

When you use any Rom or Kitchen from DCD or GC you will have to install the carrier cab after loading the ROM.

You will have to go through the whole cooking process. It's in the kitchen as an OEM not a cab.

Damn! I'm pretty comfortable with flashing, been doing it about 3 times a week since everyone has been cooking things up. But I don't think I have the patience and skill to try to do something on my own...

I just want a Juicy or JD Rom with Worldcard....

I hear ya and I am doing pretty well with UC stuff but I have been unable to wrap my head around the Kitchen. I get how to use it to some degree but I am always getting errors that I can't figure out. Anyway, There is not much you can do to brick your phone when flashing a rom that is bad unless you unplug the phone during or some other catastrophic event. I have created many a bad rom and have been able to successfully flash a good one to recover. There is a lot of information to help you just have to look for it.

@GC,

At the top, your rom states it's is able to change the PP. I know your kitchen gives you choices of PP's to use but none of the given choices are what I use (0 mb PP) That said, Your kitchen does not include the PP changer in the RUU folder and using a PP changer from another rom fails with an error saying something like corrupted rom or protected rom.

Also, your features and removed both list Advanced Power Management

Yes, and use the VZW carrier cab provided at the link up top.

My kitchen changes the pagepool in a different way than the pagepool changer app. I'd be more than willing to add more choices to the menu though.

The reason the features and removed lists both have Advanced Power Management is because it is available in the kitchen, but removed from the rom. I guess in the future I should provide Kitchen Features, Rom Features, and Removed.

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 1.1.5

Ahh ok, makes sense now that you explained it. As for the Page Pool, I always use 0mb per the PP changer. I assume that is 0mb dynamic but I only go by what the PP changer shows which is simply 0 mb no static or dynamic. This is a personal preference. I am not overly picky so if you choose to add that as an option is totally up to you. That said, I am dumb as a box of rocks when trying to use a kitchen to make make a custom rom so it might all be for not unless others wish to have those options.
