Con

I hope you are doing well. A couple of updates since i flashed your 1-09 version.

1) This opera build is growing on me. After it takes its initial chunk of memory, at least it doesn't continue building on it every time Opera is opened, so that's beneficial. It's not hanging as bad either. In fact, since the first day of flashing, i haven't had a "hang up" with it.

2) The data running is weird. I know you said it's because of the "slide" function, but i can turn Active Sync to manual, shut off my data, and it will restart itself. It does it constantly throughout the day. I check on this alot as i "LOVE" the "hold the end button to disable data" function, but i know it didn't do this in previous builds of yours.

3) I could be wrong, but i thought i remember in the stock ROM if i turned my active sync to manual, and would hit "send/receive" from the inbox, it would "sync" the device. If you open up active sync it says it syncd, but it only truly syncs calendar and contacts (from exchange) when it's either on a schedule or manually done in the active sync program. I was thinking the send/receive function used to do that as well.

just a few things. GREAT ROM. very fast. Not sure about battery since my data won't stay off, but still very, very stable. VERY NICE!

Dude, kind of hard to miss as it's in the Sticky section. Also a search function would have produced this as well. good luck.

Conflipper,

I'm having trouble changing the pagepool using a hex editor. What is the string I need to be searching for? I tried the usual one, but no luck. I even changed the first number to 04, because as a multiple of 4 you get 16, which is what you said the page pool is on this rom. Still no luck. I wanted to change it to a dynamic page pool, and it's my understanding you can only change to static page pool settings using the page pool changer.

SOOO, what exact string do I need to search for to change the page pool on your rom?

con, up until yesterday i was using ur 12-22 rom and i switched to ur 1-9 rom and im having problems with the diamond style dialer, when i use diamondtweaks and change it back to wm6 default dialer, it works but there is a bad button lag and when i change it back to diamond dialer, its all scrambled and half the images aren't there and it looks like its trying to still use the wm6 default, i reflashed it to see if there was a problem while flashing but still no dialer, the rom is fast and everything else i like. right after flashing after it does customization and resets i have 33% memory in use with nothing running and no programs installed, still no dialer, and thoughts on the reason of this? need help. reverting to the 12-22 til i find a way to fix this

this is because I have gone through and done extensive changes to the dialer to try and get everything working with the slide2answer. there is one thing you can try, once you get that scrambled dialer, try going to the windows folder, and there is a cab file in there called Conflippers Slide2Answer, try finding that, and see if that will work.

I got a new base I am testing out now. 20769, still testing, so I will have to see how I like it. File management seems to be a little better. Also I have java fixed. and so that will be fixed for next release.

Yeah, when I said I've been trying the "usual" method, I guess I should have been more specific and said I've been trying the method in THAT post, with no luck. Every time I search for the string, it says string not found. Can you tell me the string in your rom I need to search for?

Con, i hope the new base works out for you. Fixing Java is bonus. To me the only issues are the data running and active sync not performing the same way as it has in the past. You mentioned they might have something to do with the "slide to answer". If so, i hope they both are fixed in your new release.

thanks again for your hard work.
