Flash from your memory card. Flashing from the computer is OLD NEWS! :)

It's super easy ma;

Flash from microSD Card (Thanks to MadlyAlive):

1. Make sure you backup anything that is necessary to your day to day operations! At a minimum, please perform an ActiveSync to Outlook or your Exchange server prior to flashing!
2. Rename the custom ROM NBH file (this is in the RUU folder) from RUU_Signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh
3. Copy RAPHIMG.nbh to the root of your microSD Card.
4. Hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. While you're still holding those 2 buttons, press the reset button with your stylus.
5. When your Touch Pro tells you to do so, press the power button to begin the flash process. If you do not get the message to press the power button to flash, there is a mistake in the name of the NBH file or you do not have the file at the root of your microSD card.
6. When flashing is complete, perform a soft reset.

Trust me I've tried flashing from my memory cards (OEM and my 8gb SDHC) but for some reason the Bootloader never picks up the .nbh file.

I've given up and don't mind flashing through USB..

Also what new font ?

After installing all my programs and customizations, I find this ROM to be just as fast as Juggalo's and Dreams. I was impressed with the battery life on Dream's latest ROM before I tried out Juicy 4.6 but this ROM seems just as good on battery life. Very happy with how it's been running for the past day.

hm on par? i don't know.
I don't want to comment further since it would cause chaos.

i'm still testing but, i like other roms have custom taskbar icons and battery icon. i don't like the stock ones. from what i read, it takes a lot of effort changing them yourself since it's not a simple cab install.

i think i will be going with another rom then coming back when i see some changes

So does anyone have a fix for the time stamp issue? It was fine for me with the stock bell rom..

A search would reveal that you can install a simple cab to give you the icons you want. I prefer tsowen3 v1.3...check it out if you like dreams and juggalos icons... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...5&d=1229992798

Juicy, very nicely done! You took the time to get us an upgrade just as stable but more action packed then the last. Question for you, do you plan on trying to put in the landscape TF3D in any future builds? I don't particularly like TF3D but I know a lot of people that do and the landscape version is, well, kinda hot ****. :-)

OH YEAH, this rom seems to REALLY MOVE even compared to 4.5!

Thanks again for the ROM and everything you put into this for all of us around here!

Maybe someone can answer this question or point me to an answer. With the HTC social networking engine that allows you to upload pictures to Facebook and videos to Youtube, is there a way that I can also include uploading pics to Myspace? Or am I asking for too much?

As far as the 4.6 rom. I love it. Haven't ran into that SMS time thing the other person asked about. Really, haven't run into any problems so far on my Sprint TP.

not everyone likes custom taskbars... especially me. most of the stuff you see is available in cabs, and you can automate the process through UC - it is a painless process. Don't ask how, use search to reduce clutter.

As for switching to another ROM... no worries, there is alot of quality out there; especially Juggalo and ConFlipper's ROMs

Cheers,
Juicy

just for the record, I don't find this rude.

I haven't tried Dream's but I know Juggalo's is similar in speed to my 4.5. To me 4.6 seems a lot faster in almost every regard. Juggalo will likely switch to a faster SYS when he deems his development on 19972 to be stable/complete/whatever-you-want-to-call-it

If you're still on the ROM I suggest you perform a manual hard reset as switching kernels sometimes yields sluggish results until you hard reset.

Otherwise enjoy whatever works best for you. You won't hurt my feelings :)

I agree... the reason they come white as stock means they work well with any manila theme, background, or .tsk file you choose to use.

I will not stray from stock on this.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advanced. And I did hard reset after flashing and running customizations like suggested.

I don't use Live Search now, but I have ran into that problem before with a previous ROM when I was trying to check out Live Search. What I would do would be install the 2.0 .net to get it to work, because I don't think it's going to write over the 3.5 that IS in the ROM. When I installed the 2.0 .net to get Live Search to work none of the other programs that relied on 3.5 were affected, and still worked as they were supposed to. But that's just my experience. Sorry, but I have never used or know what SSMaPa is...

No one should be scared/ worried to say anything. Something you have others may agree with and/ or could share a resolution. This is a community. Just don't bash anyone and let us know something constructive, so Juicy knows what to look for. It isn't easy to have people complaining and not know how to re-create the problem, know what the cause is, so looking for a resolution becomes a even longer process. Say what you need to, I will also give you my feed back as I already tried just about EVERY ROM that is available for the TP.

  • To get that task bar you have to install SDKcerts 1st
  • nuePowerDriverCDMADiamond-100-v1.0-cab for the 1% incremental readings,
  • install the tsowen3 v1.3 (The one I currently use)
  • AND make 1 registry change in order to have the signal bar change correctly:
    HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA
    SignalStrengthLevel
    Change the value to 7
Takes me no more then a minute and a half to do this.

Lastly, it is best that Juicy leave the taskbar as it is because this is HIS ROM. If others want to do it, good for those cooks, but you have to remember, a taskbar you may like someone may not, so leaving it stockish as possible is the best practice as I'm sure we all have plenty of .cab's to fix our devices to our liking.

EDIT: Dang Juicy, etc, you all beat me to the punch while I was replying... I better type faster next time... lol...

sorry for the comment. It was first typed out as my first instinct therefore i wasn't thinking about peoples feelings and their work.

I'm currently still on your rom. testing out the bbattery life and the speed.
I've installed Herg's Manilla Update w/ landscape. Perhaps that the cause of slowness? i can't seem to find the reason for it.

I also got the custom icon going

Sorry if I gave you the impression that your opinion is not important or that you are not free to speak your mind. You are of course free to do so. Constructive feedback as others have stated is key and I found your remark more criticism then constructive. That said, Juicy obviously didn't, perhaps I am just more sensitive to things then he is. I myself have tried most of the roms in these forums and currently building my own. All of the roms are excellent and all have strengths and weaknesses.

Some of you may be up in arms over the removal of the last two packages... but every new build I've been seeing has these removed (MS VC is apparently only in CDMA builds) and I would view them as non-essential

MS VC is available through cab

Some of you may be up in arms over the removal of the last two packages... but every new build I've been seeing has these removed (MS VC is apparently only in CDMA builds) and I would view them as non-essential

MS VC is available through cab

That's awesome!! BTW, what is HTC SignatureReplace ?

Re: [01/06/09] Juicy ROM 4.6 [SYS OS 5.2.21009 Build 21009.1.6.0]

Since installing this ROM this afternoon, I've had one issue. When the phone goes to sleep after not being used, it shuts down and powers off completely. When I need to use it, I have to start it, let it power on, boot up...How can I stop this from happening? I need to be able to receive phone calls. Any ideas?

I did go into the settings and set it to not power off when not in use, but this hasn't resolved it.

I'm picky about having the data arrows fade to grey.

Juicy, with this in mind, I was wondering if installing Slide to Answer will fudge up you work here?

I tried out Juggalo's Telus 06B and the 2 things that I like that you do not include is the ubber cool Slide to Answer and the Landscape TF3D.

I think I may get 4.6 all setup and then track down the cabs fpr these two but absolutley love the speed and "vanilla flavored" UI that we can change to our liking. I like it as is with the exception of those 2 features and of the 2, S2Answer would be first on my Juicy wish list. That curtain that locks the buttons is pretty sweet.

Thanks again and keep up thw great and impressive work here.

exact reason why i use herg's manilla. his cab installs and overwrites the original manilla and also gives landscape manilla. i second this.
like i said previously, i also love the taskbar. but then again if you implement all this, it would be the same as juggalo's and dream's

lol there is alot different among our 3 roms.... compare xip/sys/oem folders not to mention registry tweaks

Landscape Manila is a stock manila form verizon tp, but Juggalo has re-skinned it (I would know as I did the photoshopping). This will likely be implemented if it is still fast... i havent had a chance to test it yet. To me, having a faster core (XIP/SYS) is far more critical then skins

I'd say hard reset if you didn't right after the flash and see if it continues. Also, what version are you running? 4.6 or 4.7 that he just released?

I don't know if the audiopara is included but you should be able to install "over" what is included without issue. If you installed the ROM you should know the ICS "plug and play" interface is there and by reading through the posts ("Search this thread" function works to find these) the hack is included.

I have never heard of the "stuff like that" cab but use at your own risk. ;-)

Well, time to flash 4.7 and get UC setup since I seem to be flashing a lot more lately.

Thanks Juicy!

Just install them yourself?
That's what I like most about Juicy's ROM
He keeps it pretty much stock looking and leaves us to do the customizing we want. I honestly hate all of the custom taskbar icons out at the moment and even though it's not that hard to replace them with the stock ones, it's still a pain. Haha. As for the slide to answer and landscape tf3d goes, you can just use these cabs attached below ^.^
