Basically to use the signal strength indicator, you have to make it the Sprint 7 bars and not 5 which is standard on Telus

Thanks for the reply, I have tried doing it in this order multiple times but everytime the signal icon is unchanged. I have even tried hard resetting multiple times and completely reflashing the firmware too. It worked fine on dreams .08 rom, but i switched to juicy 4.7 and i'm running into this problem.

I never knew Microsoft came in here viewing our threads to see what Builds we use and what we're doing to their mobile device. I guess they're going to make Juicy's 4.7 the official Windows Mobile 7 or something... LMAO!

That's probably because Juicy's build is the only one you see if you google 5.2.21014, so they singled him out. I bet they already contacted the admins over at XDA, they just haven't acted on it

It really doesnt make sense...

...and I dont really think juicy has anything in his rom that anyone else would have, unless there is something behind the scenes.

So does that mean someone at ms has been flashing our roms???

21014 contains WM 6.5 Kernel elements. its unreleased and its agains MS EULA to redistribute or even benchmark Beta or anything before RTM.

this is why i stay away form this new stuff. im well and fully aware of how MS operates and there concerns about public distribution of in development source code.

you better belive that MS is on here daily. they emply people strictly for the purpose of making sure no one breaks there EULA agreements.


also its strictly prohibited to redistribute any thing by Microsoft that Beta or anything besides RTM. long story shory Juicys rom contained elements of WM 6.5 and ms doesnt want it distrubuted publically.

MS and HTC both employee people to read what is going on at these forum sites. It is a great way for them to get free testing done has well.

If they release something that has a few small bugs, but do not want to pay to have engineers find what is wrong, they will release it, knowing that it is bad, and then read these forums and wait for the end user to find the fix for them.

they win out of the deal, sure some people might stay away from the HTC or MS for that, but every company does it, or would do it. They dont have to pay anyone to do it, and they can come on here, find the fix and apply it.

The joys of being early adopters.



Go ahead and still port it, it is still a solid system, but just use it for personal use.

duh lol what exactly was different in the 21014 build regarding programs and features. Something had to be in there that they didn't want us to know about yet. I still have my juicy 4.7 rom im just using dreams for the time being.

Ummm...it wasn't about programs or features in the rom specifically. It had to do with the kernel or bits of it's source code as stated above. The source code is a looking glass into MS secrets. What more specific information do you really need? There probably wasn't anything different in the programs or features either.
