How to cook drivers into rom.

How do you go about cooking new drivers into a custom rom using the ppcgeek kitchen?

Re: How to cook drivers into rom.

Check out the following tutorials:

Customizing Your Rom: Adding Personal Files & Other Stuff
Do you have certain files that you must have with a new flash or hard reset? Ringtones, Office templates for work, or others? Ones you can't lose if you have the dreaded "Corrupt Storage Card" issue, then this tutorial will show you how to insert your files into your rom and copy them where you want them so you will always have them!
PPCKitchen.org BuildOS Friendly!

How to Customize a Custom Rom: Adding/Removing Programs
Does your favorite Chef include files/programs that you don't use? This will show you how to delete those programs you don't use and insert the ones that you do use! (This method doesn't always work with a PPCKitchen.org custom rom).

Re: How to cook drivers into rom.

Here is an OEM I use on my current rom. It updates the following:
- updated d3dm ATI driver
- Boot/setup screens to a darker non-green style
- Stock volume skin
- a Diamond hotfix from HTC for internal storage issues
- commands reference for Sprite Terminator
- set my PIE favorites with provxml (Thanks boggsie for the legwork)

I flash alot and reset my kitchen alot. With this OEM I don't have to keep replacing graphic files etc... The method I chose in this example overwrites the files cooked into the rom after a flash and works fine. The renaming/initflashfiles method I've used in this OEM (after you figure it out) does not work other files, mostly used for graphics. It won't work for say, an updated battery.dll...

If your using ppckitchen's buildos, drop this OEM into your USER_OEM folder and when prompted overwrite the d3dm_ati.dll file when cooking.
