This would explain why you're not seeing your sent items. Just go into manage folders in your account and set it to sync the Sent Items folder. Then you can access your sent items by selecting the Sent Items folder under [Gmail] in the Inbox drop-down.

I have been trying to get it to do this for ever, it finally works, thanks a million!!!
