Re: Google Maps 2.3 W/ Street View OEM & CAB Installer

First, my GPS doesn't turn off if I uncheck the box. I have to exit and re-start the program.

Then I found another problem. In the last version, I could paste GPS coordinates to the "Get Directions" choice. My wife and I use SmartPhoneTracker, which allows either of us to sent a text string to the other's phone, and within a minute get a text back with GPS coordinates. We always could copy the coordinates and then paste it into both the "Start Point" and "End Point" under "Get Directions" and it would show the point the other person was at on Google Maps. That no longer works, as it won't allow a paste. No menu will pop up at all, including to paste in a physical address. Despite the "cool factor" of the street view, the loss of other more useful features makes me want to switch back until they get it fixed.

I can get it to work in a round-about way on Live Search, but I always liked doing it on Google better

use CTRL+V on the keyboard to paste. works every time.

also, but reports in this thread are redundant as we all can do nothing about them. its googles app not mine

so i bet you have the oem inside a directory like above. therefore it cannot find the dsm.
i dont know haw many times i checked that same thing. today i downloaded everything again including kitchen and google oem files and now it works great.

Re: Google Maps 2.3 W/ Street View OEM & CAB Installer

Had to post a thanks to you Jugg and It was nice to answer one of my questions before I even asked it! street view even! This isnt Google related but I'll ask and hope its ok. How do you add the google maps or anything else for that matter to the program launcher tab on the phone? It appears in programs but... hold the phone did a soft reset now its able to be added to programs tab, now to figure out how to get YouTube added since it is but isnt included on a Fuze. Thanks again.

Re: Google Maps 2.3 W/ Street View OEM & CAB Installer

Thanks a bunch for the cab.

I was really excited about this street view and it's awesome to have...However, as much as I hate to say it, my friend showed me the iPhone version and it blows the Pro's version out of the water...smoother, fast, bigger, etc.

It all boils down to the fact that so much more money goes into iPhone/Android apps compared to WM6.1.

It works from the device or the card. I have had it on both. Currently I am using it from the card.

What's the issue? Maybe you're trying to view a place without streetview
