Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
So has anybody flashed Nex's ROM on their Sprint Touch Pro that's running on Verizon and still have working GPS and a-GPS? I'm using the Verizon leaked ROM on my Sprint Touch Pro running on Verizon and GPS and a-GPS works great. Also, do all the Verizon settings stay intact so you don't have to change the MSL number again and do all the new settings on the ##778 menu, etc? Thanks guys. Also, does data work right after the flash or do you need to do one of the fixes to get it working again?

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
I've got some constructive feedback for you Nex. I love your ROM soo much and did everything I could to make it work on my Sprint Touch Pro on Verizon. I flashed it three different times and had the following problems each time.
If you flash the ROM on your device after having the Verizon leaked ROM on it, all settings stay. If you do a hard reset after flashing the ROM on your device, all Sprint settings return to the default state. GPS and a-GPS work on this ROM on the Sprint Touch Pro running on Verizon as long as you install the GPS settings CAB and set up a-GPS in QPST! After the first flash before a hard reset, data works great. After a hard reset, you have to change the MSL, change all the Sprint settings, and write the keys in 1xrtt mode or however you choose to write the keys. SPB Backup 2.0 is not completely compatable with the device upgrade mode as it is on other ROMs. Everytime you try to use it (and I tried three different backups) it freezes about half-way through. Some of the SPB programs have problems instaling on the ROM. Sometimes they will install and sometimes they won't. When they don't install, the install bar goes all the way to the end and freezes. It will stay that way for at least over an hour. When this happened, I performed a Soft Reset and a hard reset was performed by the device. This happened to me two different times and when I performed a soft reset, a hard reset was performed both times. I am in no way complaining at all Nex, as I appreciate everything you do for the Pocket PC community! I am simply just giving you feedback for revision 2 if you decide to use it. There may not even be anything wrong with your ROM, maybe you intended for it to only be run on the XV6850. The ROM was excellent though, and the TouchFlo looks simply amazing! I am more than willing to try revision 2, 3, 4, and more until you have the final version of your ROM. Keep 'em coming buddy! |

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
When u reset or HR did customizations run? Cause that is the culprit I cannot find what it is running but I don't see it running on mine at all when it did it when my epst got zeroed so it may actually be in the NV mapping on the device. What gpssettings.cab

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
I let the customizations run two different times and didn't on the third time. The only time it happens though is on a hard reset. If I just flash the phone on top of a ROM I already have Verizon settings set up on, they stay intact. The GPS cab I was talking about is the one that sets up a-GPS, like the one for the Mogul.

The cab he's talking about just installs a reg file to enable a-gps aswell as writes the ip and port. DCD's Verizon Carrier cab does the same thing. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\SUPL AGPS] "EnablePDEIPFromNV "=dword:00000000 "ServerIP"="66.174.95.132" "ServerPort"=dword:000022b8 Full key from my Titan [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\SUPL AGPS] "EnableAGPS"=1 "EnableGPSSmartMode"=1 "ServerPort"=8888 "ServerIP"=66.174.95.132 "QosPerformance"=89 "QoSAccuracy"=50 "TimeBetweenFixes"=1 "NumberFixes"=999999999 "GPSMode"=2 Think I found the cab he was talking about from Shadow Tech Last edited by lllboredlll; 12-07-2008 at 11:22 PM. |

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
Just unlocked my VZW Touch Pro... Looking forward to trying your ROM. I have been unable to find the shipped ROM image from Verizon in case I need to flash back... (I can only find links for pre-released in the sticky) Do you know if it is available? Thanks!
